I think this picture really shows the benefit of LST. this plant is maybe 4 or 5 inches tall, and it will end up with 10 MAJOR bud sites, 10 main colas essentially.. Wow. I'm hoping for a decent yield.. I dunno what we'll see, we just have to wait :).
Hey guys.
Here we are in Day # 2 of flowering. Making good progress with the LST.
One major difference I'm sensing already is the SMELL factor. This thing is starting to SMELL when I move branches and leaves.. It's beyond a basil-esque herbal smell, and moving to the realm of musky or...
Lots of different things have contributed to that.. the main ones are that I've always kept a CFL within 2-4 inches of the plant for the entire grow.. it's just kept it short and bushy...
The other thing is I have been implementing a technique called LST (Low Stress Training) in which you tie...
Thanks so much Cransi!
I just knew that when I was browsing threads these are the kinda things I was curious about as I was starting to grow.. how big is my plant going to look at 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks, etc... I figured it'd be nice to have a good step by step as it goes :) Plus rep...
silence is golden :)
Temps aren't too bad, a little warm in the day but nothing bad... I was the exact opposite schedule for 18/6... on at 12:00 midnight, off at 6:00 PM :)
BUT, today, I put it into flower
One thing I'm going to miss is the fact that the plant was off for 6 hours, from 6pm until midnight the lights were out, that was it's night.
Now it's from 6pm to 6am it's off, and then 6 am to 6pm the lights are on during the day.
I used to at 12:00 open up the box and see how it looked after...
hmm, not sure... it's not affecting the fan leaves so i wouldn't worry right now.. cotyledons always wither away, usually not THAT fast, but it doesn't look horrible now..
Are you feeding them nutrients yet?
It looks like some sort of nutrient burn
Edit: Nevermind I just re-read and saw that...
I'll post some more pics tomorrow :):)
In the last picture what I LST'd were 4 growth points... well since doing that, i have 5 MORE growth points that are becoming large size... I think this thing is going to be a beast..
Well I'm kinda anxious to get this one flowering.. #1. because if it's a male, I'm chucking it and starting over right away, #2. if it's a female, I don't care about getting an ENORMOUS yield my first time, i just want to see it produce, and move on to my second grow..
That being said, I just...
This morning I went to the box and checked her out. She had ALREADY turned toward the light 100%, it was like I didn't even LST yesterday.. so I strapped her down again today ever harder by drilling some holes in the side of the pot and using more hooks.. She's starting to look like a contortionist.
that nature mimic idea is interesting, never thought of if that way.. The hard thing is, light isn't always coming from all over the sky, it's only coming from the sun, so at points of the day, the whole plant is getting bluer light, and the whole plant is getting redder light. But in your...
:)! Sounds great!
I'm not sure about even keeping my thread going at this point.. I'm not getting any responses really, and if anything it's probably not the best idea for me to post pictures of this on the net :\
Well today I bent her over a LOT.. I took all of the side growth shoots and hooked them down, then I bent the main growth point down and to the left... Here's a shot of what I did..
Here's a little markup..
The RED arrows are the hooks I placed.
The GREEN arrows are the new side growths that...
