Female or male? *extremely early preflower picture*

The "hairs" that you see in that image are actually trichomes on the plant (The "hairy leaf" trichomes, not the ones you're thinking about). The calyx in that image hasn't split yet and therefore the pistils were not out yet. 2 days later the first pistils came out of the developing calyx's

Female or male? *extremely early preflower picture*

 I'm simply saying that the calyx must form in order to produce the pistils, the calyx doesn't form after the pistils, it forms before the pistils, that's how it works. I've seen quite a many threads where it looks very similar to what I posted and it wound up female. I'm not saying...

what would you guys think this picture is? (not my picture, just using it as an example because I KNOW which gender this plant turned out to be.)

Female or male? *extremely early preflower picture*

The pistils grow once the calyx opens, which is after it develops.. Both male and female primordia look extremely similar, the female primordia looks like a tear drop, where the male looks more like a crab claw or balls.. they are starting to get more elongated as I looked back at it tonight...

Indoor Growing: what SECURITY measures do you take???

I'll probably invest in a lock soon

CFLs don't get that hot.. I can handle mine even when they've been on all day.. try touching an incandescent bulb after it's been on for 30 seconds, then try touching a CFL.

Female or male? *extremely early preflower picture*

Hey guys, got some extremely early pre-flowers going on right now.. any idea if this looks more male or female, or too early to tell? EDIT 5/25/10: Here's what I'm seeing now on that same node. I think that's a pistil coming up out of it's calyx.. what do you guys think??

Here's a tighter crop of the preflower.. I think the shape looks more like a calyx of a female than a ball of a male.. but it may just be wishful thinking.

I just took her down for a few more macro shots to see if I could identify anything interesting.. To give you an idea of the kind of magnification I'm working with, here's a shot of a leaf with some damage, in the middle of the picture, the small chunk of leaf that's missing.. and then here's...

    Low-Wattage CFL Growers!

Hey guys, I'm in the midst of my grow right now, I've got some serious LST going on and this plant looks like it may produce 9 or 10 major main cola sized bud sites. 5 26watt CFLs, 1 40watt CFL. Here's a link to my grow: https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/328530-first-grow-cfls-lst-bagseed.html
