I have a valueline 4" and 6". Both are not very quiet and wouldn't work for stealth grows. Never needed to use a carbon filter, so that could be one reason they run loud.
@Newport, I'm going to be following this grow as I am going to be downsizing to a 150w HPS from a 400w MH/HPS which I used for 2 grows....How high is your light at right now? Still trying to figure out what height to put my 150w light at to start, but was thinking 15" or so.Will be using 150w...
I killed about 5-6 seeds my first grow, so don't worry about it. Research, research, and learn from your mistakes and you'll eventually get the hang of it.
I apologize for bringing back an old thread, but I figured I would ask my question here instead of creating a new thread. I've used FF soils for my 2 grows along with their entire line of nutrients + solubles. I know that there isn't any or very little calcium in their nutrients, so I purchased...
The smoke was all good across the board as in no harsh chemical taste or anything of that sort and I harvested around 3 weeks ago. I dried for 3 days, and then put into jars which I burped a few times daily. I also used the entire line of FF nutrients + solubles, botanicare cal-mag, and molasses...
You might want to feed it 1 more dosage of nutrients after you flush, and then just use plain water/molasses (un-sulphured) for the last 2 weeks or up until harvest.
With FF soils, I have found that flushing makes very little difference. With one plant, I had watered it 2x with plain water...
Definitely save up for a pH pen. I have the Hanna 98129 and it has been working great. Just flush with plain water or a flushing solution and then continue with nutrients next feeding.
Edit: Also, it helps to leave your tap out for 24 hours. I have my tap water in a 5 gallon bucket with an...
I chop whenever I have free time as well. People claim that resin production increases or something when you give it some darkness, but I haven't seen any clear-cut evidence.
It looks like a pH problem to me. Your pH should change the pH of your water when you use FF nutrients. What kind of water are you using and do you have a pH meter?
I used Happy Frog this time from seedling to harvest. You just have to make sure you feed nutrients at 1/4 strength starting around week 3ish. I always add perlite to my soil to improve drainage. Ocean Forest definitely needs perlite and Happy Frog not so much, but I like more drainage.
