What are your ambient temperatures? What kind of tent do you have?
I have a Secret Jardin 3x3x6 DR100L with a 400w MH/HPS Hydrofarm 4" reflector. I'm using a valueline 6" 435cfm fan which is sitting on the floor. I pull the air from one side of the tent across the reflector and out the other...
I would start with bag seeds to begin with to make sure you can get the basic techniques down. When I did my first grow, I screwed up big time with 4 Blue Ryders and yielded a little over a quarter from 4 plants. My mistakes included over-watering and over-fertilization. Also, if you have...
For those of you that say you weren't impressed with Barneys LSD, can you give a reason why? Slow-grower, low yielder, false advertisements? Curious to know because my next grow is between this and G13 Pineapple Express.
Looking good. I'm probably going to try Barneys LSD for my next grow. It's between that and Pineapple Express. Best of luck and I'll be following this one.
I am currently using a 400W MH/HPS. For my seedlings, I put my light around 28" high with no problems. Right now, my light is around 5-10" above the tops. As the plant grows, I try to get the light as close to the tops using the hand test. If you stick your hand under the light for 10-15 seconds...
I also use the full line of fox farms nutrients. I used ocean forest for my first grow and I'm using happy frog for my second.
A 150w HPS is good for a 2 x 2 area and you can grow 4 plants (especially autos) no problem under it. It seems like the 150w HPS sometimes creates airy and fluffy...
It depends on how much you want to yield...I think that you should just buy a 150w HPS and call it a day. Maryland Hydroponics has them for around $66 minus the shipping.
If you are unsure, use a moisture meter, but make sure to poke the soil enough times to get an accurate reading. I use the lift-the-pot method as well.
Check out Mdanzig's Blue Ryder. Also this is the fan/filter I run with my tent.

That Strawberry Cough should be a very good smoke. I had the opportunity to smoke it just once an I stayed high for like 2 hours. What are the dimensions of your cabinet and does the 150w light give off a lot of heat?
Sounds amazing. I'm currently looking for a strain to grow and there's so many options. It says this strain flower in 50-60 days; how long did it take you?
Your plants are looking awesome. I'm downgrading in size from a 400w MH/HPS to a 150w HPS for my 3rd grow. Can't wait.
What height did you have your light at when your plants were seedlings?

Looking very good. Are those 5" square pots going to be the final pots or are you planning on transplanting into bigger ones once your plants grow a bit?
Looking good. I'll be following your grow as I have been using a 400w as well.
What technique do you use for re-wetting your rapid rooters? I over-watered them on my first grow and under-watered this time around. Stunted them badly the first, and somewhat this time around. They're autos, so I'm...
I used rapid rooters to start my seeds this time around and planted them around 14 days from sprout in soil.
I would have liked to plant them around 10 days from sprout, but figured I would wait a little longer to let the roots develop. Do you guys think that I could plant them in soil any earlier?
Take a visit to this link and look at the picture in post #5. That's exactly what i described and what I'm going to do.

I'm actually about to order the DR100 as well. You can use a 600w with it if properly vented.
With your 6" fan pulling the hot air through the reflector and exhausting it outside, it should run effectively.
I'm going to set mine up like so: carbon filter>ducting>reflector>ducting>fan...
