Once I plant the seeds in soil, I put them under a humidity dome on the vegetative light cycle. Once they break the ground (sprout), I remove them from the dome.
How do I measure temperature correctly?
In order to know you are providing the right thermal environment for you plants through ventilation, oscillating fans etc. you need to understand the physical nature of the 'heat' in grow spaces, how it should be measured, and the mistakes that can...
I tried it and didn't notice a difference. I will continue to keep things simple and chop when they are ready. I'm also going to try out a new flushing technique so that I can continue to use nutrients all the way up to harvest.
@ Attic: When I first started looking into low stress training, I wanted to use earth wire because it can bend into hooks like the romex wire you used. However, I could not find any place to buy it online so I started looking for other alternatives. I absolutely do not want to tie it down using...
And if you don't mind telling me, what size romex wire did you use? And will hardware stores like Home Depot carry it? I know that I can get some on ebay, though some of them are rather expensive.
Yes I do think that they are worth the money. I have read that the open sesame may not be all that great and if there was one to omit, that would be the one. The beastie and cha ching are worth the money though. However, you don't absolutely need to use them.
This was the 4th time I've ordered seeds. The first 2 times were from Attitude and the 3rd from Dope Seeds. Anyways, I decided to try out CH9 because they have really good prices and some interesting phenotypes. Took about 10 days to receive (US). Ordered 10 Jack seeds and got 3 freebies. 3 Jack...
After I germinate my seeds, I plant them in 16oz beer cups using the soil straight out of the bag. I give them 1 good watering, then put them under the humidity dome. Once they break the ground, I move them out of the dome. I just try to keep my temperatures between 70-85 when the lights are on...
Attic, thanks for letting me know what you used for hooks. I was thinking about using paper clips with the powder coating, but I'm not sure if 3" long bent straight is long enough. And I didn't want to pick something that ends up being toxic to the plants.
I'm subscribing to this thread for sure. I'm sold on using the LST method with my 150w HPS. I have 4 feet of height to work with, but with a small light I think it's best to keep them short and try to get as many bud sites as I can. What did you use for hooks?
Damn, your plant is really coming together nicely. Can't wait to see those buds mature. I'm definitely going to try LST next grow. How tall is your plant right now?
Looking great. I think I'm going to LST my plants like yours because I'll be trying to grow 2 plants in a 2 x 2 x 4 tent using a 150w HPS. At about how many nodes, did you start tying the stalk down? I can't wait to see those bud sites grow nice nuggets.
