I wrote the original HERE. But consolidating in this one post.

LST'ng is something I've been doing for a while, and I pretty much suck at it.
But I am happy with my latest contraptions for helping me through this. I used to do some type of tape with...

I used to keep my cab in my bedroom. It's pretty stealth, and when people we over, nobody ever noticed it. I would literally spend many minutes each day sitting in front of it staring at the plants with the doors open. I would almost be meditating.
My cab was like the briefcase on Pulp...
Yep, that is a layer of sand. It works very well. I've tried soapy water, a few pesticides, and the sand works the best imo. After you do it, they'll be around for a few days, but after a life cycle or two which is pretty short for gnats, they are gone eventually.
The drawback is that it...
Now the ambient temps are a bit lower in my basement, so I can keep them a bit closer, I try to keep it right at 5 inches from the bulb. I have had it closer before, but like gumball mentioned, I have gotten bleaching before.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever catolouged how rapidly the trichs go from clear to cloudy to amber in LATE FLOWERING?
I'm understanding that this can be variable based on many conditions.... but I have some going on now that are just BARELY clear, as in they are very close to cloudy.
I...
Damn, that is a super interesting idea!
The sand works for me, and to deal with that watering issue, I just water from the bottom .
But it would be nice if someone sells just a steam machine so you can just take a little tube and inject it in various areas around the soil.
Man I'm excited about this fat ass bitch sitting in my cab! Her buds are huge relative to what I usually grow. As I mentioned they are all SUPER-FAT, EVENLY ripe, dense... even the ones on the bottom that you would think might just be popcorn buds. This bitch is ALL BUD! Yesir!!!
More pics...
LST'ng is something I've been doing for a while, and I pretty much suck at it.
But I am happy with my latest contraptions for helping me through this. I used to do some type of tape with string or something similiar, and it would pretty much always come loose.
And since I use grow bags...
Just some pics of things now. My mature girl in there is doing great! She is looking a tad crispy, but she's still green close to the buds. So I'm stoked about that. She's basically ALL BUDS now. I figure ill let it go maybe another week or so.
I'm also really glad at how good I got that...
There was a recent thread of a similar topic HERE.
But my experience with MG was fine. I've used 4 of the different MG soils, and the best experience I've had was with the Organic Mix they sell. So much so that I still start all my seedlings out in a half inch layer of MG organic I put on top...
Another point, this isn't at all scientific as there are too many variables.... but a while back and in my journal I have pics of this somewhere, but I had a plant I hacked away at a bit. And I didn't even go overboard with the trimming. Next to it was another plant, same seeds, same soil...
My first few grows were with Miracle Grow soil and nutes. The best success I had with MG Soil was that Organic Blend they sell. It was fine. I didn't have any problems, and had some really nice smoke at the end as well.
Obviously there are better things to use, but people really go overboard...
