I just have to get this off my chest Got two plants in DWC setup. I cared about then as I'd care of my own kids, drove my wife crazy measuring pH, adjusting nutes, brewing teas, they were PERFECT. Then one went hermie and ended up an underachiever. Fuck it, I said, I have the other one, A good...

    DWC Nutrient Burn Question

If we are talking about 0.5 conversion factor, I'd never go over 600ppm (1,2 mS) and have found my plants don't like it above 800 mS (400 ppm @0,5) at all.

    Strangely short flowering bubba

Thanx for the answer. No more greenhouse seeds for me, I guess. I also have some nice clones from that plant that are, it seems now, going to scrap :(. Edit: at least what I got seems to be a nice smoke.

    Strangely short flowering bubba

Update: Buds have dried up a bit and I've noticed FEW seeds pop out. About 10 of them from a large plant. I'm quite sure there are no male flowers present anywhere and other plant that has not been harvested yet is showing no signs of being polinated (plenty of white hairs, empty seed pods...)...

5 Weeks Flowering - Fan Leaves Droping

Could she be root bound? Thats the first thing I check when fan leaves start looking like this. 5 out of 6 times I had similar symptoms it was a root bound plant.

    Strangely short flowering bubba

Unfortunately, I have no photos, I don't have a habit of taking any because of privacy concerns and I can't take them now as I already harvested. Other then a slight nute burn (that plant really didn't like being fed much), there were no visible problems. Temps were 20 to 26 C (68 to 78F), pH...

    Strangely short flowering bubba

I'm having two plants in dwc buckets, both started at the same time. One is greenhouse seeds bubba kush, other is critical jack, Both are in the same cabinet, having same growth conditions. Jack is flowering as I've expected based on my previous experience, but bubba is making me wonder if...

I NEED HELP UNDERSTANDING THE INS AND OUTS OF DWC

Products you named are organic. Never put organics into DWC. Go with synthetic nutes. And I'd definately use benneficial bacteria, not SM-90.

New to Hydro - Need some advice

If I were you, I'd begin by doing one plain old DWC grow in a few buckets. Once you get the feeling for this simpler version of the system, you'll have a much easier time figuring out how to improve it by turning it into RDWC or whatever.

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

I'm brewing 2,5L of tea a batch and am using the smallest imersion cooker (http://profiles.sulekhalive.com/mstore/14053545/albums/default/thumbnailfull/i1.jpeg) I could find. Those things were designed to boil water, so they can easily raise water temperature for just a few degrees. Before that...

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

For winter brews you'll want to get an aquarium heater or something similar. I got a room heating thermostat with a probe off ebay, wired it to a small electrical cooker and put the probe and the cooket in a metal bucket with water. I then put bottle in which I'm brewing the tea into the bucket...

Brown gunk and brown/red slimey airlines?! Help

Its hard to say what it is. Could be bacterial byproducts. You could try geting a small amount of some other pure inorganic nutrient line and see if that helps.

Brown gunk and brown/red slimey airlines?! Help

http://rollitup.org/t/dwc-root-slime-cure-aka-how-to-breed-beneficial-microbes.361430/ This topic will help you with your problem. You might be adding something organic into your res when you change it. If you are using any aditives, stop and see what happens.

    Smart and inexpensive pet?

Degus are cool. I have 5 at the moment. Had a 12 member colony at one point. Rats are very nice smart animals, but unfortunately tend not to live very long. I like grinder holders also. I personaly have two of maine coon breedand am expecting little grinder holders of mixed MC/norwegian forest...

    Bubbleponic ppm levels

I never went above EC of 1,2 mS and am right in the sweet spot where plants drink same amounts of water and nutes. I don't see a reason for going any higher.

Questions on starting new seedlings in DWC

I think the only advantage is that smaller setup is more easy to handle.

    Water or nutes ?

I started with 0,4 mS when my plants were seedlings and am giving them about 1 mS now. I don't add any water between changes. I just let them drink about 2/3 or 3/4 of water and then change the whole res. Toping up with nutes is not a good idea as plant could be taking in much more of some...

    Help!!!

Check to see if rockwool is too damp. That can cause problems. Lot of my problems went away when I removed the rockwool and went with hydroton only. Second, thing, start using microbe tea. It helps a lot. Third, there seems to be a lot of people using flora series and having trouble with...
