    The police stopped by ...

If I was a cop and saw a sctubber in someones home, I wouldn't have a slightest doubt about what that person was really growing. There is certainly a chance those cops realized that you have been growing but have destroyed all the evidence since you knew that you were being rated out. They might...

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

Wait, you sugest keeping the water level all the way up to the lid or am I misunderstanding you? That sounds like a recipe for stem rot an all kind of other nasty stuff.

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

I found it best to pH before adding tea, although sometimes I did it after. What you want to avoid is sudden pH jumps caused by adding concentrated acid/base straight into your res. You can stop the tea whenever you want.

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

Sounds right, but it's advisable to add ZHO when the tea is brewed or mixed in right before being added.

    young and dumb?

Those rolled in leaf tips and dark leaf coloration look like too much N to me.

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

I personally wouldn't use root stimulators or any other aditives at all, specially ones that are marketed as organic extracts, but if you do, it would be best to add them straight to res.

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

"inoculate the res with beneficial microbes" means pour the tea into the res (peferably directly over the root mass).

Great White Mycorrhizae beneficial bacteria root

Hostility is totally unnecesary. I never said pondzyme does not work. It works and I've been using it. What I'm saying is that it does not make some other products redundant. Manufacturer refuses to name exact microorganisms in it, but whatever they are, based on the products intended purpose...

Great White Mycorrhizae beneficial bacteria root

But keeping the res clean isn't the only thing you want to do. You want to make as many benenficial bacteria as you can colonize your plants roots and compete for space and food with the pathogens.

    Do seeds always mean Hermie's?

There are animals that can reproduce without males. It's called parthenogenesis. I'm not claiming something similar does happen here, but I wouldn't dismiss it on "no immaculate conception" grounds. I just had a grow where one plant got some seeds in it, while the other growing just next to it...

Great White Mycorrhizae beneficial bacteria root

I think pondzyme is great for geting rid of dead organic mater in your res, but I think it's also good idea to add some bacteria and funghi that colonize the rootzone.

    DWC scrog help

It might work, but I wouldn't go that way. I thing microbe teas are most reliable way of preventing root problems.

And there goes my second plant to the harvest. Her roots were nice and healthy untill the last day. Thank you mr. Heisenberg for teaching us how it is done!

If you are planing to use benneficial microorganisms, then I'd stay away from it definately.

    DWC scrog help

No. Stay away from aditives. I seriously doubt any of them can do any good in DWC setup, and will potentially feed microbes and lead to slime problems.

    DWC scrog help

As toaster said, not enough air, temperatures too warm, presence of organics in the res or just bad luck. There are two schools of thought on the subject of preventing root slime. One says keep everything sterile and keep adding sterilizing agents like H2O2 or chlorine, and the other one (one...

    DWC scrog help

WIth 2 plants in a bucket, you might be changing nutes every 3-4 days in flower. Mine drink most of the res in 5 days and they each have a 20L bucket. pH should be checked daily. I think root rot should be your bigest concern.

    DWC scrog help

Right, if you want a SCROG grow, you'll want a larger plant (I vegged 2 plants for 2 months to cover square meter of grow space), and 5 gallon bucket will barely fit one such plant. Also, if one plant gets sick, dies, goes hermie or gets into any other kind of trouble, having them in the same...

    Bud rot and harvesting

I harvested one plant 7 days ago and have buds drying in my grow room. There is another plant in the same room still flowering (a week from harvest perhaps). I've noticed bud rot developing on the still growing plant today, and did my best to sanatize it (cut the affected areas, cranked up the...
