    Watering question +rep!

Any chance of posting a picture or two? And if they look fine and healthy to you, is there a reason you think you might not be giving them enough water?

    Underground Grow

One thing to keep in mind though if you're burying a bus - make sure you remember to empty all the kids out of it first. I forgot that step once, and I still kick myself over it sometimes. Thank god they were all really young, so their parents hadn't really had time to develop strong attachments...

Unfortunate Cloudy & Rainy Weather in California

Yes, whenever possible I always try to get my seedlings in the ground the day before a 2 or 3 day spell of rainy weather. That's ideal. Gives the plants a couple of days of bright but indirect light, the rain makes sure they've got enough moisture to tide them over while their root systems are...

Yes, but she's probably going to be very angry with you when she finds out.

    Flushing In Perpetual Harvest Grow?

Now that's an interesting-looking thread. Thanks! I have the feeling I'll learn a lot when i read it tomorrow. I'm too loaded to make sense of it tonight (but don't tell anyone. I can't remember if that's allowed here, and I don't want to get in trouble.) I'm not using GH nutes, though, I'm...

    Flushing In Perpetual Harvest Grow?

I've actually been kicking that idea around myself. Thing is, I'm just not sure how much of a difference it will make. See, I'm really new to hydro. I've been an outdoor guy all my life, and all the indoor grows i did when I was younger were done in soil. So I just don't have enough experience...

    Flushing In Perpetual Harvest Grow?

Yeah, I don't expect any good news here. The way my area is set up, there is a way I can add a small second reservoir, but it's going to be extremely complicated. Long story, it'd take too long to explain it. It's just the way the doors and the room are configured. I just figured, what the hell...

    Flushing In Perpetual Harvest Grow?

I'm using a General Hydroponics Waterfarm 8-pack, and I'm planning on switching to a perpetual harvest in a couple of weeks after I harvest this crop. I'm planning to buy 4 more modules, for a total of 12. They'll be hooked up in series, and I'll harvest 3 modules every 2 weeks. Trouble is...

    New to the System

I have my reservoir in a separate room, right on the other side of the wall from my flowering room. I drilled two holes in the wall at floor level, run the intake and outlet hoses through the holes, and use a small submersible pump to circulate the nute solution. That does two things - first...

    ph up/down question about ec

And what are you using for water? I mean, what's the initial Ph and TDS of the water? If you're starting out with city water that has, say, a Ph of 9 and TDS of 400 PPM, you're down a touchdown and a field goal before your offense even gets on the field. Starting out with purified water may give...

    Need Knowledgable Advice

You guys are getting close to 15 hours of daylight right now in So Cal, right? Are you positive they've all gone into flower? At any rate, I agree, they'll probably go back to veg. You should be good.

    Solo Guerilla Growing

It doesn't happen in Hawaii. There are no snakes in Hawaii. They are not allowed.

    Using peat pellets?

Yeah, and that's one of the reasons I prefer soil all the way for my outdoor grows. I'm growing them in dirt anyway, so it's a lot easier just to grow them in dirt all the way. Just goes a lot more smoothly.

    Using peat pellets?

Boy, you just don't know how to shut up, do you? I might at least have a little respect for you if you just had the balls to take responsibility for acting like a 5-year old, but I guess that would be asking too much from someone childish enough to act the way you did in the first place. Your...

    Using peat pellets?

Whatever you're most comfortable with. Like i said, either works, but in my experience, I like soil better. Obviously, some people are more comfortable with peat, and it works fine for them. I find that soil gives you a lot more margin for error, and it's a lot easier to control the moisture...

    Using peat pellets?

Why don't you put down the bong for a few minutes and try a little oxygen for a change, and see if that improves your reading ability? First, you're arguing with things I never even said (hint: the word "best"), and second, you're using one of the same points I'm making in order to disagree with...

    Using peat pellets?

Clever. Two things. First of all, shit happens. They dry at very uneven rates. You pick up a couple of pellets, they both feel like they're about the same weight, and you figure neither one needs water. You come home that night, and one's dry as a bone. Maybe it's closer to the edge of the...

    40th latitude great lakes?

Check with your local garden store and ask them when it's safe to put tomatoes outside in your area. I'm guessing around the 15th or the 20th of May would be a safe bet. I live farther north than you do, and I usually put mine out right around Mother's Day. Never lost a plant to the cold yet.

    Using peat pellets?

For germinating, I just take a little plastic measuring cup - like the ones that comes on a bottle of cough syrup - fill it half full of water, and throw the seeds in. After they've been floating for an hour or two, I push 'em down under the water so they stay completely covered. I leave them in...

    so im kinda worried......

No big deal. They get their soil from outdoors, and some grass seeds blew into it, that's all. It just means your soil's good for growing stuff!
