Drivers and LED F series/H inFlux strips - best choices ??

Those are converting lux to par (PPFD). They essentially give the same thing, but the second one is more accurate. Divide total lumens by 69 to get total PPF. Once you have that you can divide by watts to get PAR efficiency in uMol/J, or divide by area in square meters to get approximate average...

    48" square works great in a 5x5.

9 x 4 is 36 inches, plus 1.25 for each bar is right at 48 inches. Thats where I would go.

If your covering a 5x5, just spread them out as evenly as possible over the entire area. With 22" strips I'd go two rows and 48 inches width. If I'm reading you correctly your going to use 30 strips total on 3 HLG-320H supplies, so thats two rows of 15 @ 3 inches center to center.

    What a deal!!

But its an "Honest Spectrum" - Honest!

    What a deal!!

And 36K lumens. Which is what I get from eight 22" single row Samsungs at 200 watts. This thing is laughable. He has brought LED efficiency to a new low - almost matching CFLs.

    New run - Black Gorilla

No way in hell I'm gonna be able to move that to the other cabinet for flowering so she is gonna flower right where she sits.

    New run - Black Gorilla

Here are a couple of pics from yesterday and today: Seems like that particular tote was a poor choice - the sides are not stiff enough. Gonna have to look for a better one.

Yes, that one was the first to show. But it turns out all three are female. Damn I'm on a fucking streak here!

Thickness is not what cools - its surface area.

Almost ready to pull the trigger on the new V2 Samsung quantum. Please give me some helpful advice a

They will produce a considerable amount of heat - but it will be almost entirely from conduction and will tend to naturally rise upwards to the tents exhaust system. As long as you have proper air circulation - cool, fresh air entering the bottom and warm air exiting at the top, then heat should...

    Budget Veg Light Advise

Yeah, one thing I just don't get is why Bridgelux decided to go with such a non-standard voltage. Two more diodes in each string and they would be at 24 volts.

Yes, you can use square tubing, it works fine. In fact you can put a small fan in the end and make it active cooling.

    Budget Veg Light Advise

They are both very good, neither really is head and shoulders above the other in terms of efficiency and overall cost per lumen - but I do prefer the Sammies 24 volt Vf - its much easier to work with if you want to use budget supplies.

    Budget Veg Light Advise

Yes they are, but you need twice as many to get the same amount of light. And the 19V they run at is difficult to match with budget power supplies. Stick with the Sammies, IMHO. 6 of them at 150W will fill out a 30x30 space quite nicely. Thats what I'm running on my veg space right now (24 x...
