Ive noticed that even when my jars get into the 62-65% range i still have to either open the jars for a while every day or take the buds out altogether for a little while- otherwise i get that kinda chorophyll smell which will go into the buds over time
Hi, i have a CXB3590 3000K fixture as my light but also have an old Mars II 400 - would the Mars be better for vegging?
specs are 440nm, 460nm, 630nm ,660nm,730nm(IR), 2400k-3000k
thank you
thanks to everyone - saves me buying a veg light fixture!
is it worth adding any additions to my COB fixture to enhance plant development? Are there any proven methods? I see some people adding supplemental red or blue LEDs but not sure if they have been proven to improve a setup or just...
Hello - I am running a 3000K COB fixture, i grew 4 seedlings last time out, 3 of which turned out to be male.
I was wondering if bluer light would lead to more females or is it purely down to luck?
thank you
Trying to find some info on this but havent succeeded thus far - is it a problem if moisture gets onto the surface of active COBs, like from a humidifier?
I can see documentation from Cree saying that COBs were tested at 85% humidity, so i dont know - i have emailed Cree and am waiting on a...
I got it sorted - 2 metal straps screwed into each corner and meeting in the middle, attached eye hook to the middle and its fairly level now
is it a problem if my humidifier is blowing moisture up onto the COBs ? I dont have lenses on them
yeah i think thats the problem - small DC PS is probably overloading that side as nothing equivalent on the other
i have some metal strap so will try attaching one end of each strap in the corner - meet them in the middle and hook the hanging rope there, hopefully that will work
Hi, just a small problem with my COB fixture, its hanging down on 1 side so I cant hang it right now
Currently I just have an eye hook in the centre on each end - then attaching my hanging ropes to that
Should I try something like hanging from 4 corners instead? What are you COB DIYers doing...
cool man - in the other thread i linked there are figures of 150-400uW/cm2 mentioned for UVB to be of noticeable effect - now i dont know how those figures are arrived at but i dont think CFLs will achieve that level unless inches away from plants
thats one thing i was hoping to get from this...
my tent is small, 2.5' x 2.5' - i dont think hanging a T5 is an option for me as would probably get in the way of my COB fixture and it seems the smallest of these T5s are about 22 inches
So would it be feasible to maybe put it vertically in 1 corner and move it around each day or something?
