COBs and humidity/moisture

Trying to find some info on this but havent succeeded thus far - is it a problem if moisture gets onto the surface of active COBs, like from a humidifier?

I can see documentation from Cree saying that COBs were tested at 85% humidity, so i dont know - i have emailed Cree and am waiting on a response

I dont want to damage the COBs or reduce life time as they were expensive

I've never had any issues with bare cobs and high humidity. The humidity on the cobs should be lower than ambient since the temps are warmer than ambient at the cob surface. I think it would have to be very humid to be an issue like maybe condensation was causing thermal problems. I just don't see that happening in what most people consider a high humidity environment.
