QUANTUM BOARD QB 288 3000K 80 CRI Vs 3000K 90 CRI Show Down

It stinks - but not really of weed, just Isopropyl - it's a kind of hospital smell. You have to do it outside really. Towards the end, when it was thickening up, it was more like dope, but not really worse than your grow-room. I finished off indoors and it was ok.

QUANTUM BOARD QB 288 3000K 80 CRI Vs 3000K 90 CRI Show Down

Haha! I wasn't just hoping for the best lol. At the time, it was my understanding that the plants cared less about the colour temperature than they did about the PAR and those 5000K CXBs put out a shedload of light. My first grow looked great, until I stepped on my timer and the suckers came on...

    Sol-Skin, let the journey begin...

You're making a lot of sense but I suspect that there's something about 'forward voltage' of a diode that puts a bit of a spanner in the works. I'd love to be enlightened further...

Does anyone here make their own feminised seeds?

er - I'm new to this shit but what he actually said was: "10's of thousands of fems, ive never got a herm from any ive grown out" Now, I don't like ChoCh's grammar, but at least he's not a just making shit up to prove someone else wrong.

QUANTUM BOARD QB 288 3000K 80 CRI Vs 3000K 90 CRI Show Down

These are the important aspects. Higher cri = lower PAR/watt so we will always be looking at a trade off. This is a great thread, because it seems to be pointing to the logical conclusion that the lower cri (higher PAR) s making fatter buds: Let's hope that the higher cri (lower PAR) is making...

    Best Led

I'd say you need to get started and build up some experience of the whole vegging/flowering process. Growmau5 was a huge inspiration to me, and he's clearly an experienced and successful grower, but he didn't offer much regarding non-LED aspects of the whole process. FWIW, my experience has let...

    Best Led

I know what you mean about the 2KW limit. Do you plan to be flowering the whole set-up at the same stage - ie 4x (4x4) all starting their 8-10 weeks on the same day? The reason I ask is, I blasted mine with over 700W towards the end of flowering and it didn't seem too much but, earlier on in...

    Best Led

If money is no object and you will only ever need to light up 4x4, this will be very efficient. The other people posting in this thread are not wrong though, and represent a lot of very recent research. I'm a bit old-school-no-substitute-for-brute-force-and-heavy-stuff--thats-fully-proven lol.

    Best Led

16 3590s in a 4x4 would be great and quite a bit less expensive. I run mine on 4x 200W drivers and when they are flat-out, I'm at the highest end of the necessary light intensity. Sounds like you have done your sums though, because with 'only' 16 cobs, I'm running at the slightly less efficient...

    LED lighting and deficiencies

I just read this whole thread. As I moved through I kept thinking that this was not a problem that was going to be fixed with more or less of any particular additive, nutrient or mineral. I'm glad that you seem to have figured it out. I thought everyone had learned to water until there was...

You beat me to it lol. they look fucken great. I don't think there's a problem, but I can't see any yellow leaves either :/

    Help with slow growth

I think you need more, faster drainage. You say quite confidently that they 'dry out in 2-3 days' but, if they are very small and slow-growing, it's hard to see how this could be the case. They look like they're in fairly decent-sized pots. If it was me, I'd wait till I thought they were ready...

New to cloning need some advice

That was the best tip ever. It's pretty cold here, so I've had that heat pad on non-stop. There was a dome over them for the first couple of days but I hardened them off pretty quick and now, they are doing quite well at about 65% RH.

Watercooled Smart IC COB LED Build

I know you're not asking me but I think it's a Beautiful Thing. How did you 'chill' the water, and how do you think the efficiency of the chips would go, if using a radiator (in or out of the room, depending on the weather). Do you think you'd be able to hold the Tj at a couple of degrees...

New to cloning need some advice

Thanks Rog. That sounds about right, but is there no easy way to tell other than turfing them out of the pot? I guess I'll just tip one out and have a look-see.
