Say it ain't so: it's root rot, isn't it?

Danke. I will implement both solutions/suggestions! I got back from my water run a couple hours ago and already have the plant in straight RO pH'd to 5.8 and I have my diluted bucket pH'd to 5.8 and PPM down to ~600 waiting for ~08:00 tomorrow morning. Many thanks for the quick help, folks.

Say it ain't so: it's root rot, isn't it?

Thanks. I do have some Botanicare Cal-Mag+ already. I'll add a couple mL next time.

Say it ain't so: it's root rot, isn't it?

I did for the most part. I just assumed being 3 weeks old, it was ready for full strength. Especially since near every thread re: lucas said "full strength from the git go". Lesson learned and at least it's just a single plant.

Say it ain't so: it's root rot, isn't it?

I thought so. I posted here yesterday because I realized PPM's were way high but I am following the "Lucas Formula" and got a similar response. As soon as I am able to re-fill my RO stock, i will recalculate my nute regimen. Hell, i will likely just buy some Gro and use the GH schedule instead...

Sounds like a solid plan. Gracias.

Water temp: 62f pH: 5.6 TDS: ~1500 ppm (lucas formula full strength, so 24mL micro, 48mL bloom in 3 gallons water) Tent temp: 73f Tent RH: 75% Plant age: sprouted on 2/14 Nutes: GH Lucas formula, Southern AG GFF @ 1:20 ratio (1mL GFF in 20mL water, used 1mL per gallon of that) leaf problem...

    Astronomically high PPM/EC with Lucas?

Negative. I am using the store bought "RO" which varies from legit RO with ~50ppm to ~200ppm, depending on which store I happen to be near when it is time to refill. I have 4x 4gallon culligan jugs that I refill a couple times a week. I don't even use the tap water for my organic grows. My...

    Astronomically high PPM/EC with Lucas?

Pertinent details: Plant Age: 21 days since sprout pH meter: Apera PH60 Medium: Single DWC bucket w/6" netpot. Planted in rockwool with hydroton filler. Water: I do not have a reliable source of good RO water. I live in a city, but only ONE of the 5 fkin grocery stores has RO water that measures...

Water temp differences when changing water

I'm gonna wait until I get it under my full light before worrying about the water temp of the bucket. My main concern now is the temp of my change water, which has already been assuaged. No dehu needed for me right now lol. Ambient RH in my basement will be between 15-30% until spring. I can...

Water temp differences when changing water

I just checked and even though my tent is at 73, my water was 64/65 and that was after a few days. the caveat is that my seedling light is a blurple and I only have the blue light on so it's not that intense. I fully expect the bucket to heat up more when I flip the "bloom" switch or move it to...

Water temp differences when changing water

Ok, noob question: I assume it would be ok to mix the nutes prior to warming in the tent overnight, yes?

Water temp differences when changing water

How much of a problem will it cause if the water I use to refill my bucket is significantly cooler than the water I am replacing? My basement is currently ~57f, which is also obviously what temp my standby water is because my water source is a bunch of 4 gallon culligan jugs I refill at various...

Do non-green leaves still perform photosynthesis?

yea, I already did that lol. It should be ready today or tomorrow.

Do non-green leaves still perform photosynthesis?

Thanks all. I'm being as patient as I can but since I haven't noticed any significant growth and still see clear trichomes, I keep going back and forth in my head wondering if I should just chop it down.

Do non-green leaves still perform photosynthesis?

Grape and eggplant leaves don't turn purple though, do they? I agree though, there is plenty of evidence that purple strains do quite well. I just figured that purple didn't present until the last couple weeks which is not the case for me.

Do non-green leaves still perform photosynthesis?

I don't understand your first question. Night temps are ~65f. I am pretty sure it is genetics because the strain is a GDP cross, but it's a freebie seed from an unknown breeder.

Do non-green leaves still perform photosynthesis?

This question is not for dead/dying leaves, but for leaves on strains that turn colors, like purple. I have one plant that has had pretty much all purple leaves for over a month now but still no amber trichomes. It is on day ~70-ish since the first pistil so I am curious if I am waiting for...

    Clover topping?

Yes. Then leave them in there post harvest. Cut the stem as close to the soil as possible then cut down the cover crops and drop the cuttings in place and let it sit for a few months to break down the stem and rootball. Once it's all turned back into humus (not to be confused with the delicious...
