Watering with fabric pots and a "water only" medium

I personally don't see why not, but I don't know enough to say whether or not it would ok to do so.

Watering with fabric pots and a "water only" medium

For sure. I've considered adding some hydrotons to the top, mainly because I saw Jorge Cervantes do it once. I've already brewed a compost tea, but I made too much and had to throw it out. I plan on making another one soon. Also, I do amend my watering with kelp "stuff" I repurposed from...

Watering with fabric pots and a "water only" medium

Yea, I started watering the trays. Then, I moisten the top with a spray mister just to give myself a visual queue. I am now mainly relying on the weight of the pots since my plants are finally taking full waterings. Thank you

Watering with fabric pots and a "water only" medium

Are either of those soils created with the intention of not requiring additional nutrients like Indicanja? "Purple Cow IndiCanja is a scientifically formulated and tested organic fertilizing package that contains the necessary minerals, nutrients, fertility and biology for all stages of plant...

Watering with fabric pots and a "water only" medium

Right. My concern isn't so much overwatering, per se, it's more that I am stripping the soil of the beneficial nutrients which will in turn require me to amend the soil later down the road. I am not exactly opposed to doing so, I'd just rather not. If I am incorrect in thinking this, I'd love to...

Watering with fabric pots and a "water only" medium

Yea, good call. I will try that. Thanks. I've read a few places that it should be approximately 1L per gallon of medium. Does that sound right?

Watering with fabric pots and a "water only" medium

Also, I currently have them in a raised tray so as to get airflow underneath. However, I do have regular trays if it is suggested to water the trays and let the pot soak up water rather than watering directly into the pot. I just don't want to promote any nastiness due to stagnant water.

Watering with fabric pots and a "water only" medium

My plants are in 3 gallon fabric pots and are finally at the point where they are taking full waterings. however, my medium is Purple Cow Indicanja which is a "water only" medium requiring no additional nutes. It is my understanding that if I water to runoff, I am stripping vital nutrients from...

    Stunted + nutrient burn?

Another update. I went ice fishing up in Northern Minnesota for the past week and left my babies under the care of my wife, though all she really needed to do was fill the humidifier and water when necessary. I told her to keep me in the dark so I'd be surprised when I got back and boy oh boy...

    Stunted + nutrient burn?

Should I begin cutting the dead/dying leaves off? If so, where do I make the cut? There has been no growth since I transplanted but the plants are standing on their own without need of support and do seem to respond positively to watering.

8x10 Grow Shed build and setup

If you don't mind me asking, what did you spend on building materials? Just lumber and insulation panels. This is exactly the kind of thing I am looking to do. Well, less a shed and more a room but the build would largely be the same.

    Stunted + nutrient burn?

update: I went to my local grow shop to get a second opinion and while I was there, I realized that I was actually correct the first time when i said I used the activated compost. I wanted to use the Indicanja and thought I was using Indicanja but no, I planted into straight compost. in...

    Stunted + nutrient burn?

Everything you've said makes sense to me and intuitively seems like the right answer (I'm trying to pull from my knowledge of lawncare rather than seeing cannabis as a completely different genus or family altogether. Afterall: they're both plants). I've gotten a lot of conflicting information...

    Stunted + nutrient burn?

So these leaves are always going to look this way? they won't turn green again? Should I expect them to get worse?

    Stunted + nutrient burn?

Thank you. 1. I water very infrequently as it is. The soil gets pretty dry in between. Like scary dry. however, when I poke my finger in the soil right at the base of the plant, it's solid-ish and seems moist whereas the rest of the pot is crumbly. 2. Yea, i know it's too big of a pot but I am...

    Stunted + nutrient burn?

    1. the only other pics I have are all blurple'd out (attached anyways), but there does appear to be a bit of discoloration of that same leaf tip on 12/31. 2. I was mistaken about which Purple Cow product I used. It's actually the Indicanja. The bag says the analysis is 1-1-1 and the guy at the...
