Yep, light from an LCD is bright enough to affect your plants. I would cover it up or risk stunted growth or a hermie.

Well, it depends on when the roots get so big that they need to be transplanted. I grow in root cubes and after about 12 days, they are ready for a transplant. I'm not sure what you are currently growing in, but when the roots out grow their environment, (root cube, cup) it's time to transplant...

Quite honestly, I don't think the humidity is a huge factor. I grow in 50%-60% humidity during veg and my plants turn out just fine.
