Rain water is better than the 8.5 PH tap water that you are using now. So go for it. Your temps sound perfect, but do you have the lights close to the plant? Also, give the rest of the soil a chance to dry out first, not just the top soil.

Your 3x5 tent will work perfectly with a 400w MH/HPS. I am running an HTG 400w MH/HPS currently in a 4x4 tent. Although I plan on updating my light to a 600w digital ballast. I would only get a 600w light if you are planning on expanding your grow, you you may decide to do in the future.

Spend the extra money and get the MH/HPS. Your plants will love the lighting in veg under an MH bulb. Good luck.

Well, for starters, obviously an indoor grow is going to be different than an outdoor grow. IMO, I wouldn't plant 2 plants in a 6.3 gallon pot. I would start in soil if this is your first grow. It's a lot easier and less upkeep than hydro. If you want to keep the noise down, then get a muffler and a carbon filter for the smell. You will have to place your carbon filter on the outside of the dresser though.

Huh, I never thought it could be tent related. The one plant that is thriving is the one that is directly below my carbon filter, while the plant that is not doing well is about a foot away. Should I try and switch the plants in the room? Do you think that will make a difference?

Thanks. That's why I am stumped as well. It is definitely not a fungus or mold, but I am not sure what could be causing one of my plants to go south on me. I am giving Epsom Salts in addition to a regular dosing of Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom.

Looking good grower chick. You might want to think about a 600w HPS for flowering though. A floro isn't going to give you the great colas you want.
