Just a quick update. It has been about a week since the last photos were taken. These next couple of photos clearly show that the Colloidal Silver treated plant has totally shed its female characteristics and now appears to resemble a full blown male. There are not occasional male flowers...

It is starting to look like my "CS male" will produce a fair amount of pollen - it isn't just growing the occasional pollen sac, nor is it looking like it is making nanas ... looks to me like it is a full blown male. I'm keeping a very close eye on him and will move him back into my vegging...

I'm using two Kessil H150 Magenta lights at the moment. One is lighting a small SCROG plant and the other is lighting 3 clones in flower which are being grown for seeds. The light seems to produce very compact growth with bud development nice and tight.

The hairs in the last photos are amber/brown/shrivelling up and dieing ... that plant is gender confused and is shedding its femininity and growing balls. Have a look at the seed making thread in my sig for updates on that experiment.

Put a lock on the door and say that the room is rented by "Bob" and he's not home ... but there are no leaks in there anyway.

If that is the first week of flower, I think you may have vegged just a little bit too long.

Broad Generalization Time ... Most people check their seeds when they are stoned, or ... when they are stoned, they check the seeds often. Being stoned can affect judgement, and you may inadvertantly harm your seeds. Helping the seed shed its shell is fine ... until you accidentally rip...

Check then as often as you like - just don't mess with them.

That is a female flower that doesn't look like it has been pollinated, otherwise the seed would be far larger by the time the pistils had dried and withered ... it is normal. There is a better than good chance that you plant has not hermied and not been exposed to any pollen.

I may need to alter my stance on this subject a little. I'm not sure that it is just the number of hours of daylight that matters - I think that if the number of hours/minutes of daylight is over 12 and the number is increasing each day, then the plant may believe that summer is approaching...
