Hermie, and so what if it is?

I noticed some suspicious looking nut sacks on my plant and cut one off and then open and looked at it under a microscope. Basically, the nut sack was a hollow pod that the pistil extended out of. But if you followed the pistil back into the pod, it ended with a little seed shaped thing. Is this a hermied plant, or do all pistils end in a little seed shaped thingy?

That is a female flower that doesn't look like it has been pollinated, otherwise the seed would be far larger by the time the pistils had dried and withered ... it is normal.

There is a better than good chance that you plant has not hermied and not been exposed to any pollen.

yeah..you just pulled a healthy calyx off your plant...male sacks wont have hairs...and will look like round balls on a shaft...or a cluster of banannas.

Look for female pollen sacs nearby - like two bananas instead of hairs coming out...

Thanks for the quick replies. This plant has been a strange one. Started it indoors in April, then put it out in pots for the summer. Brought it back in (sativa that didn't start to flower until Sept. 1) to a shed under two 400 HPS lights through until about two weeks ago.
It wasn't ideal growing in the shed (8 7ft plants under two 400 HPS; not great air flow, and a bit nippy, though heated with electric heaters). The plants all got harvested 10 days ago, except this one, which I brought into
my house and put under 1 400 HPS. So now it's getting good warmth, good light, and good air (fan blowing), and good nutes, so maybe my calyxes are just getting big ('bout time as it is week 13 for this thing).
