My two cents, if you're a newb, start with some good soil. It will buffer your high ph better than coco. Also just buy some ph down...

I tend to agree, it's usually not the best idea to worry so much over your soil ph unless you really think you have really bad soil for some reason... Worry more about what goes in, but most good soil should buffer out ph issues for the most part. At least that's the advice I've been given on...

It does indeed look suspicious, but I wouldn't worry... The pics are too far away to be sure though I think... Do you see those on every single cola? That makes me think it's either a real hermie about to put out a bunch of pollen, or it's just some strange things this pheno does...

Not sure this is the best forum, but I do use medically, and prefer to smoke... For those of you who use bubblers, bongs etc. with flower, I'm looking for a better way to keep the glass bowl I use clean between each load. I usually do not use a screen, my bubbler has a nice dry ash catcher...

How are you taking the pics? Looks nice. Looks about like the stuff that comes out of my 70 micron bag when I use dry ice... I have a jeweler's loupe, but my phone doesn't take good pictures with it up on the lens ha ha so you'll have to take my word for it... As for the OP's pics, it is hard...

Another thing that might be throwing people off is honestly, your plants have a LOT of trichs i think... Good strong stuff. I do also think you could go another week at least...

Wow, great looking harvest you got coming there... Nice job! With that much bud, if I were you, I'd go ahead and take a lot of it, and then leave the rest of it for another week or more to experiment and see which kind you like better, and how it changes the effects on the same strain to wait...

Agree with all, looks really nice, especially for a first grow. Yeah, nothing wrong with using those big pots to begin with, but you have to know how to water it right... Personally I wouldn't fill up the whole dang pot with water every watering until a few weeks even. Just used measured amounts...

Here's what they look like now. I can see from looking at your threads that I'm waiting way too long to top I guess... Still will get the same basic result I hope though, just probably going to take me longer. I think I will go ahead and top those little guys on the left as soon as it matches...

Oh yeah, when you top, is there any down side to cutting right below the growth node you're removing (so it leaves a long stem above the two growth nodes you leave that then sorta shrivels up over time), or is better to cut right above the two growth nodes you leave? Looks like from pictures...

I think that's more or less exactly my plan... Topped at fourth node as fifth was just getting going, and topped down to which ever node it was that had the best candidate for being the new growth, honestly I can't remember if I did the 3rd or 2nd, but it was which ever was more developed...

Also for those who have done this before, how long does it really take to get to eight colas ready to flower? At the rate this is going, I'm guessing at the least five or more like six weeks is what it will end up being. They're under three 300 watt LEDS... PPMs in the water going in are...
