Illumitex - Why so little attention?

A contact of this company tried to get in touch with an Envirolux ?employee...CEO? via LinkedIn. What she said sounded interesting. http://henglight.com/ledgreenlist.html Looks like a very sharp cutoff to me. That's the only clue I can find as to how they control the beam angle, and it...

Illumitex - Why so little attention?

Wwwtttfff. Thanks for this. I was actually going to email Rocky Mountain High (the dispensary in that video using Illumitex bars) and ask what they thought of the lights. But that shit's just crazy. I kinda wanna look into Envirolux now just to see if they are shit talking, or what. Nice...

Multichip LED, Remote Phosphor - Guess who it is.

Go by the trichs. If you don't have one: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/60X-with-Ultra-Violet-a-Microscope-Currency-Money-Note-Inspecting-Detecting-Lens-/271218141853?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item3f25dc6a9d&_uhb=1 The Chiesel I'm growing is notorious for early Orange hairs. Mine even has a few...

:o:hug: Sick plant. So that's ~100W total? Would love to know final weight once she's done.

So the 660 draws air in from one side and exhausts it out the other? LED's at the exhaust end will run noticeably warmer, then, no? Everything looks sick, though, nice vid. And yea, the new 200 easily looks brighter and warmer in color.

    Bridgelux Vero 29 LED Test

Let the dirt dry out before watering. I've found that keeping the soil wet for days on end is never the best. Since pretty much all of them have sprouted I'd say leave the tops off. They don't need much light at all right now, but w/e, let them get used to their surroundings.

California Lightworks SolarStorm 400 or two (2) SolarFlare 200?

SolarFlare. If you need more light in 6 months time build some LED panels yourself. ;-)

Cree LED bulbs (9W): Dissembled for a grow light

Wow. That's a lot of Cree bulbs you disassembled! Lookin' good. I'm sure vegging plants will love it. One suggestion: Clear up the wiring to try and get the wires out of the way, they are absorbing some of the light.

Northern Lights Auto stealth/closet grow. help & input appreciated

I think this UFO could do an ounce pretty easily. I also think it will flower one plant rather well, your girl should love it. I assume you're growin' in dirt? Idk if it interests you, but search a website called Kelp4Less and check out there veg and bloom packs. Everything's premixed for you...

First time grower with LED. Please help. (northern light auto/closet grow)

Np! Glad I could help. Btw, you know what you can do to help us out? Keep a grow journal with your new UFO once you get it! I'm sure there are others like you who would love to see what a 90W, 5-band UFO can do. ;-) I, myself, can't recall seeing a grow with this specific UFO. I actually quite...

Multichip LED, Remote Phosphor - Guess who it is.

Alright. Well I lapped the heat sink and straightened out the metal core PCB as much as possible. As you can see there are tiny gaps between the heat sink and PCB. I applied the thermal plaster and found some pieces of wood to sit on either side of the LED's as it cured. Then I put a piece...

First time grower with LED. Please help. (northern light auto/closet grow)

I hate to do this, but check here: https://www.rollitup.org/led-other-lighting/633304-if-you-new-led-want.html It's a stickied thread and was designed to answer these exact types of questions in order to keep the forum neater. Btw, yes that UFO will grow weed. Plants will grow even better if...

Multichip LED, Remote Phosphor - Guess who it is.

Cool. You've got just the 10W flood, or are you using it as supplemental? I think mixing these Red/Blue floods with some Warm White floods could be really cool actually. If you're interested, check out your plants grown under these R/B floods in natural lighting and take some photos. I guarantee...

Hey, thanks for the info. I've got some 4x8 mesh coconut fiber charcoal already so that'd be "free." I wonder if the charcoal will restrict air flow too much, though, it definitely restricted the air flow of the Panasonic Whisper ceiling fan I've been using for extraction. Hrmmm.

Illumitex - Why so little attention?

Weird. So much of their stuff is $0.00 dollars, too. Says 3-5 weeks shipping or some bull. Then there's the "In Stock" section where everything's priced and most of it says will ship in a day or two. I added stuff to my cart to see if it would load a price, but no dice. Weird website, I agree...

Illumitex - Why so little attention?

One thing you could do is add a secondary optics component to the Vero which would narrow the beam angle and concentrate the light a lot more onto the plant canopy. I don't know if that reflector is compatible with the Vero, it was just to give a rough idea of what I had in mind. Also, the...

Illumitex - Why so little attention?

captainmorgan: It's pretty narrow band, you're right captain. It has very little Green/Yellow/Orange, but it does have "full spectrum" coverage, if that means anything to you, it just focuses HEAVILY on Red/Blue. The X5 spectrum looked really cool, but I guess they don't support it anymore. NASA...

Illumitex - Why so little attention?

PICO: Lumens are not very important when it comes to growing. Lumen is a unit of measurement for how bright something is to the human eye, not how bright it is to a plant. Taking a peak at the spectral analysis graph of the F3 spectrum, however, I can tell you the F3 spectrum would rate rather...

Illumitex - Why so little attention?

PICO: No idea on efficacy. Mouser states the radiometric power at 1.6W and each consumes about 5W when you drive them at 10V x 500mA. 32% efficiency isn't bad... Constiello: This stuff looks cool to me. So much so I thought it deserved its own thread for discussion, actually. Hopefully we can...
