I wouldn't retrofit 3W LED's into that UFO. You'll need a new driver, you'll have to rip out all the 1W diodes, you'll have to worry about over heating, and last, but not least, you'll have to worry about your headache while attempting to perform this balancing act. For 2 square feet I'd say...
