advanced led new arc series does anyone know what cree modules they are using ?

^^^ I had no idea what you were talking about until djwimbo pointed me in the right direction. The comment was sort of out place, man, it had no basis in this thread. $50 doesn't even include a driver for those LED's, each is $15 if you buy it through them. The argument is even MORE stacked in...

Multichip LED, Remote Phosphor - Guess who it is.

I'd love to, after this harvest I''ll be going with a SoG grow most likely, so I could definitely put this technique to use. I've got three rooted clones right now that are looking good (topped two of them already) and another clone that might make it, but I should probably just pull it. I...

Multichip LED, Remote Phosphor - Guess who it is.

Found this technique on another forum. Looks like a really cool method for cloning. I'll probably try this method at some point in time. I definitely feel this guy when he says space is limited in his veg tent. This would allow some one to root clones while they are still on the plant, cut...

use eye protection around your lights

Look around for some cheap welding goggles if you're worried, imo. A lot of them protect your eyes from UV, IR and Blue, they're made to be comfortably worn for hours on end even over prescription eye glasses, have a wide viewing angle, look unique/can be worn for Halloween costumes... O_O...

Multichip LED, Remote Phosphor - Guess who it is.

Awesome! The more Merry panels we can track grow progress of the better! I recently PM'ed jimjim to find out what his panels have been up to (you all can see his progress a few posts back) and now this. That's three Merry panels that I know of (apart from Astir panels, they use the same...

Illumitex - Why so little attention?

Oh, whoops. Not both 660nm, I guess. Forgot, Cree doesn't have Deep Red. Those spotlights come with a driver? I thought they were $15, or something. More like $70 after shipping, I think, plus the timer. Also, they still have a 50 degree beam angle. To cover your area they might need to be kind...

High Humidity At Night - DIY (Do It Yourself) Solution?

I was leaving the flaps open (passive intake) before I got the AC unit (active intake) and I don't remember RH getting nearly this high. You have a point. By adding the AC, though, I moved some things around so now light leaks in the flower tent would be an issue with open flaps (nighttime for...

High Humidity At Night - DIY (Do It Yourself) Solution?

My flower tent got up to 99% RH last night and I'm getting scared. I have an AC unit that keeps things in line while the lights are on (45-55%), but at night I have to turn it down so it doesn't get to like 58 degrees. I realize my ventilation, or lack-thereof, is mainly the culprit, but my...

Illumitex - Why so little attention?

Neosol uses same exact technology as the bars. If you're cool with the premium on the 300W I say go for it. SGS-160 draws 155W at $535. Not a huge difference in cost if you ask me. This is the best price I've been able to find on either NeoSol model...

Illumitex - Why so little attention?

Actually, I know next to nothing about these guys. I posted a video in my journal about a grow op in Denver that was using the Illumitex brand of product just thinking it all sounded cool and how it sorta coincided with the discussion that was at hand, but I got an interesting response to the...

Illumitex - Why so little attention?

PICO: From what I gather from the patent posted in the OP, they are chemically etching the primary optics into the die mounting substrate. The primary optics, in my mind, would need to be ever so slightly different for every LED in their 4x4 multichips in order for the beam angles to overlap...

Illumitex - Why so little attention?

tags: Oh whoa, PSU jumped right into a discussion after I posted that vid. Thanks for catching me up. PICO: I think SoG might be a natural progression for these types of lighting fixtures. Sovereignlife says they penetrate well, so perhaps plants with about 2-4 weeks veg? Leaving lighting...

Illumitex - Why so little attention?

He's got the Neosol 300W F3 spectrum. Interesting about the new line-up, however. I wonder, will the X5 be available? And what do they have to say about it? I heard they said the F3 spectrum performed better so they dropped the X5, but is that true?

Illumitex - Why so little attention?

Why? To my understanding the light beams are square and match up like building blocks so to speak.

Illumitex - Why so little attention?

So, you recommend the Neosol for sure. When you say "dump offs [...] of old surexi models" are you talking them down necessarily?

    Upgrading my 90w ufo?

I wouldn't retrofit 3W LED's into that UFO. You'll need a new driver, you'll have to rip out all the 1W diodes, you'll have to worry about over heating, and last, but not least, you'll have to worry about your headache while attempting to perform this balancing act. For 2 square feet I'd say...
