HLG won't change their warranty over parts used. They've used other LEDs before. I have a pair of QB 324, which used Nichia LEDs. Some QB 288 were built with alternative LEDs also. However, the new LEDs I believe are still Samsung. We're not going to jeopardize our reputation using inferior LEDs.

I'm sure you could get it with a 240 volt leadcord. Most quality drives will run on either voltage.

Or you could say protecting the business from predatory practices. You can make these kinds of comments all you want, HLG is well known for being forthright and for providing information most other companies do not. And with proven specs like this, why would you care?

My understanding from a previous conversation is they are Samsung LEDs and a brand new LED, with HLG having an exclusive contract on them. When they do eventually give out the info, I'll post it here!

HLG is not releasing the LED info at this time. I didn't ask but I suspect it's to give them some time before the cheap knockoffs claim they have the same LEDs

Here is the lab report on the new Scorpion. As soon as I know the detail of LEDs, driver, etc, I'll post. Look at the efficacy numbers!
