I've got a male doing exactly the same thing - however, I did make him male by spraying with Colloidal Silver before switching to 12/12. Since I stopped spraying the CS it has decided that it wants to revert to female.

As far as I'm aware, as there was no male in the equation to donate male genes, the seeds will be female - time will tell. The seeds are bigger and healthier looking than the original seeds (I still have 3 seeds from the bought ones).

I'm smoking Red Dragon now, it's a great long lasting happy high. Mine was 12/12 for 10 weeks and pulled when the trichomes were about 5% amber and the rest mostly cloudy.

The main point would be to have mother plants that carry more than one strain. This is especially useful if you are a legal grower who is limited to a certain number of plants or if your space is limited. You can then grow different strains depending on which part of the mother you took clones from.

17 days on 12/12 ... how dense do you expect the buds to be? ... you've grown before?
