You can probably get 3-4 plants in that space. But sunlight limitations are going to keep your yield minimal. I would think your best chance at a worthwhile harvest would be to start inside in a controlled environment, go through veg, initiate flowering, and then have them out there.

When you see the first pistils, you are just at the start of stretch. Outside, they stretch for 2+ weeks before budding. And they get BIG!
