Awesome job hbbum How do the trichs look? Do you take when you see amber or something other? I have no amber yet just cloudy

I usually give them a 12 hour final day of light and chop at lights out... so you can get one more day out of them buds if you want lol...

Is that what you are doing?
I plan on harvesting tomorrow instead of during the weekend since there just will not be time Sat or Sun. If I could harvest tomorrow night, I would probably do one more light cycle, but I prefer to harvest after the dark cycle so they will have to deal with 24 hours of dark.

I plan on just cutting off all of the fan leaves and then chopping at the soil and hanging upside down. Depending on if she takes up any more water in the next 24 hours it will take about 5 days to get to the point where I can cut off all of the buds and clean off the sugar leaves and will wrap up the dry and put in mason jars with boveda packs.

Was a very successful looking grow to me. Fat and juicy looking buds man. I'm sure she does the job too. Mine seems to have put a lot more growth into the trichomes now and hasn't really stretched at all anymore. She seems to be stuck at 21 inches but I can guess it has to do with developing the buds now. 3 weeks since preflowers to the day and man I have good hopes for her now. Maybe 7-8 weeks from now she'll be looking a lot like yours who knows =).
Nice and stout, much easier to get light penetration pretty much all the way down to the soil at 21", I am sure you will have some serious dankness :D

I see some amber, not a bunch. I pay more attention to the cloudy, I want about 80% cloudy and the pistils receded and calyx swollen. I don't know, they just start to look "done".

Only my second grow so I kind of just play it by ear. picking a good harvest time is one of those things that many people do not agree on.

This is so true I see so many different opinions on this matter

Just throwing in my 2 cents, but I'd put off harvest for at least a week. Doesn't look quite done yet. The calyx's look like they could swell a bit more.

Thanks Cranky, I might if she was still drinking anything. I will check again tonight but I have not watered all week and the soil is still moist about 1.5" down. Try as I might, I may have let this one get to yellow and I fully expected this one to take 10+ weeks.

I have a couple clones of her that are doing very well. I will be using a more aggressive feeding schedule and will see if they go longer.

Yah everything is definitely getting the sun, here is a good pic of the trichomes. It seemed like they just popped up overnight lol. IMG_0806[1].jpgIMG_0809[1].jpgIMG_0811[1].jpgThat is might right thumb, I'm 6ft so you can see the issue I have concerning the size of the tops.

Man those pistils are awesome
Thanks man, I made that banana tea but I haven't used it yet. What I did do though was dry the peels that were left over from the tea in the oven, grinded them in a coffee grinder and mixed it in the top soil. I wanted to feed her today with the tea but the forecast had rain so I held off. I love these pink pistils too though, makes for some kick ass backgrounds hah.

That's pretty common when the plant is in late flower. She'll stop drinking for a bit, then have a growth spurt, stop again, etc.
Let her go for a while longer. You won't regret it.

Fak!

Last night ate a brownie and then started second guessing. Checked plant when lights supposed to come on and the soil was bone dry, plant drooping and thirsty so instead of letting her dry out a bit more I gave a watering and flipped the lights on for another cycle. I may still end up harvesting this weekend because up close she looks done.

I chop when bone dry...... lol.

Usually speeds up drying a little bit.

Good Luck

Told you that she'd start drinking again
It's the norm for a plant to stop drinking during late flower. When they do drink, you get those sporadic growth spurts that you can notice with the naked eye.
I respect your decision to chop, plants always look different when there in person and everyone has their preferences. Personally, I'd go another week or more, but that's all up to you buddy.
And props on the grow. Your girl looks very healthy.
Will be looking forward to the harvest. Give us some numbers when she's dry.

I do that as well. Seems to give me a better cure too, but maybe that's just my mind playing tricks on me

Excellent! Mine are ready to go into the other room. Considering just one more topping to set them back a bit since it looks like I will be going another week or so. On top of that I just had my 3rd gen clone start to take shape. Just need a place to put her :D
