One Michigan program, which is proposed to go national in the senate proposed farm bill, allows the USDA to purchase food from farmers that would otherwise be wasted because of cosmetic reasons. Do you think that is bad for the economy?
I think that almost all federal programs should be eliminated. The federal government is an incredibly intrusive, far reaching body that confiscates way too much money and wastes 90% of it.

Food programs should be left to the state, county, city or municipalities as they choose to offer them.

I am required to pay out of pocket for the kids of people who have broken the law to come here illegally... There are admittedly somewhere between 20 & 30 million of them in this country. If you dont see that as a problem then you are not looking very hard. Either most of those people are working jobs or they are somehow on government assistance or both.

You dont work for a non-profit... You get paid right? The president/CEO of the company makes a nice salary right??? The term non-profit is an accounting gimmick...

Perhaps.

I think immigration is good, it is part of American exceptionalism. I don;t see this as a problem, most come over willing to work hard, we should be lightening up the immigration process. If you are a conservative then you should be for open borders, as you need a federal government to limit people.

You dont work for a non-profit... You get paid right? The president/CEO of the company makes a nice salary right??? The term non-profit is an accounting gimmick...
Non-profits pay their employees significantly less money than the private sector. There is a difference between accounting profit and economic profit.

So if your state decides to starve people out, they migrate to another state? That is NIMBY bullshit.

It is roughly $1.84 so I was wrong. but close enough.

I should invite you over to my house to supplement my heating bill with all the hot air you blow around here.
You weren't so wrong. On a graph, as I said, the number of dollars put into the system calculated with the outcome and graphed (don't ask me to do the math, I'm nice and blazed and I just won't) the line would be a parabola such that the pinnacle of efficiency is 2 dollars worth of jobs for every dollar spent. Since more EBT is being issued than what ever that magic number is, efficiency is lost and we are just passed the point of maximum return, just over the curve if you will. Only when we are so far back down the curve that 1 dollar spent returns 1 dollar in wages on the aggregate is the model rendered less than 100% efficient. As is, it is a very cool 184% return on investment. Food stamps are a fantastic economic stimulus.

This might be better mentioned at the beginning. I would just assume you were on a different train and the road to nowhere we could have let alone.

I am someone who understands many languages. I understand hear as being the sounds of the ear no? I do not know if this is correct but it was what I was taught. Also. this word there. Shouldn't the context be they're? I am not a native speaker but I was taught the context should be from the words they and are. Am I wrong? It is hard to interpret redneck at times. At times like this I understand why your country is considered a trailer park country. You don't understand the use of your own language. How much credibility can you receive of your country when you are illiterate and defending it?

Your company gets paid with taxes that are confiscated from American workers. You admit that at least a portion of these funds go to pay your salary as you dole out benefits to the children of illegal aliens among other people. You have not admitted but you have not denied that a portion and I would argue a good portion of the funds are spent on things that dont exactly qualify for food such as alcohol, soft drinks, junk food, etc. If you dont admit it at least the government does.

Somehow you attach virtue to getting paid shit... I am not sure how that works. Your company makes a profit and then spends that profit before it files it's taxes... It is an accounting gimmick that makes no difference in the economic world. Your company is not required to pay taxes and not required to compensate shareholders yet has nothing to show for it at the end of the year... Where does all that extra money go? I know where all that money comes from... Hence the robbing peter part. Your company gets to use the federal government to confiscate hard working people's income and give it to you to distribute to people who are not producing anything.

I am against all federal welfare programs including food stamps, welfare, section 8 housing assistance, healthcare, etc. Again, this should be left to the individual states, counties and/or municipalities and not elevated to the level of the federal government.

We have spent over a trillion dollars in the war on poverty and it has worked just as well as the war on drugs.. Nothing changed...
