This shit ain't no secret!
I figured that I will document my hash making, since I have done it a few times with good results! Its been documented a thousand times before i know but.... I like shatter preferably! Currently using BhO as a solvent, but searching for alternative methods for clean full melt! You are gonna think " Chewy they have bubble bags" I know! but I've tried all the different microns and it just doesn't do what I like! Maybe I'm missing something! Chime in!
Moving forward! Within a week, I will blast again! 3 batches consisting of cannalope, sour, and kandy kush! All strain specific, all from buds! Soon I will purchase a vacuum purger, for now water!
I start with visual supplies! Stay tuned for the process and bud pics!
Ok here is what I will use to do my scraping! I kinda waited to test out this Skilletools Xl master scraper, here it is, kinda small but it will be better than vice grips!
Ok here is the process of making BHO up until weighing!
Be sure when making BHO you blast butane outside or in a garage that is ventilated! Don't be A DumDum!
Also sanitize all tools, blades, dishes and surfaces before attempting. Don't be a Dirtbag!
The tube i used was a glass 15 inch with 1 1/8 inside diameter.I used a 120 micron mesh screen with a metal hose clamp to hold it in place on tube The Tube holds about an ounce of budzzz! I Packed it with a bamboo stick to assist to where it has some airflow, but still nicely uniform and full of product!
The buds I used were chopped down to about bowl size for the blast!
I used Vector Butane for my solvent. . I placed 15x8x2 pyrex dish with handles on top of a white box so I can see the fluid color easier as it is being sprayed!
I held the tube straight up and down and about 1/2 inch away from the surface of the glass and placed the butane tip inside the tubes pp hole! I Run the butane until it's no longer yellow or a little extra to be safe! I emptied about a can for each full tube! I think it was 9 tubes I blasted of Kandy Kush! I let the majority of the butane evaporate before bringing it in the house!
Tip...I also had a separate area for packing, and a trash bag for already blasted product! It's important to keep the leaf matter and bud area separate from the blasting area so you don't get any into the liquid! Make sure that your hands and the outside of the tube us free from plant matter before returning to the Pyrex dish throughout the process!
Also before i even started blasting I filled a big electric skillet up with water just high enough to cover about a half inch around the base of the Pyrex dish( the dish has handles and supports itself perfectly around the skillet) and heated the water up on the lowest setting then unplugged it!
Next i Brought in the dish full of blasted liquid, i put it on the skillet and watched it bubble off until all the liquid was gone and only a nice honey colored oil was remaining! I Then turned the skillet back on...
The skillets lowest setting was 150 so with water in it on that setting it reached just before boiling point which is nice! I left on the dish for about 3 hours this way while popping bubbles periodically until it was only little fizzy looking bubbles!
Next I the scraped with my skilletools master scraper directly onto my oil slick pad which was on a heating pad staying warm!
I cleaned my scraped pyrex dish and placed the oil filled oil slick pad inside and back on the water!
It will stay there for 8 more hours then i will turn the skillet off and pull it outside with no heat for an additional 8 hours to a day! Voila enjoy! I will make pics bigger when I see my Mac!
Shatter porn pics!
