Abortion is now illegal in the United States

I wouldn't be much of a punching bag cause I'm not against abortion, just don't want to be forced to pay for it.

No, you are not as much fun as you could be here. Tell you what - I don't have to pay for religious icons in public places, I don't have to pay for religious books or prayer in school or religious indoctrination like creationism and you don't have to pay for abortions - deal?

would a miscarriage be involuntary manslaughter?

I see how well prohibition works and think we'd go back to the days of coat hangers and back alley abortions. It wouldn't stop very many but would definitely cause a HUGE increase in risk.

I hate abortion and would never consider it for myself but I feel I understand human nature enough to realize prohibition of abortion would be deadly for some. The ones that bother me most are the women that have had 5 to 10 abortions, using it like birth control. I'd actually be for a mandatory IUD or that birth control arm insertion that lasts 5 years. If you had to wait 5 years before having another pregnancy abortions would go way down and everyone wins.

so you will give up forcing me to pay for abortions, and you will continue to not pay for the banned prayers in public schools, the prohibited religious works in school libraries (except the koran, bagvad gita, and other "good" non christian non jew religious texts) and you dont have to pay for the illegal teaching of creationism/intelligent design/jeebus did it "theories"

sounds like a compromise designed by a liberal. you get everything you want, all religions are still illegal in public discourse (unless they are the "good" religions like mohammedanism then they need defending), and you just need to find a new source of funding for free abortions on demand, perhaps some "sosh-security" money that might be wasted on old people who tend to vote for republicans anyway.

I don't think that miscarriage would be considered involunary manslaughter unless it could be proven that the mother was negligent. But of course each and every case would have to be proven. Abortions constitute a significant number of all conceptions and so women would have to be watched or monitored in one way or another. All miscarriages, due to the number of abotions presently being performed" would be suspect.

Of course there will be a percentage of all those born that the mother will keep. Another percentage will can be put up for adoption but what about that? The mother may not have the resources to keep the child, and so will need some sort of aid. If she does not get that aid she may well be unable to care for the child in a suitable way, and that child will be placed in a foster home. I have done the figures and they don't look too good but unless someone challenges me, lets be real round with the numbers. Let's say that there is no program to help the mother but a 100,000 per year need no further assistance. We now have a half a million unwanted babies each year. The rest, even if they are put up for adoption may have to stay in either foster homes or orphan homes. A percentage of them will be adopted each year from those homes but as the child grows older the percentage drops, so we can say that these services collect 400,000 new children each year. Now extend that out for 18 years, after which the first of them are adults and can make their way on their own. On the 18th year you have 7.2 million children under government care, perpetualy so for so long as women do not change their evil ways.

Even if they do, that figure will persist for many years. Most often it is those who least like big government programs that are for personhood. Yet this would be the biggest single government welfare program there is, instituted by those who believe they have a moral obligation to assure that each embryo be treated as a person.

and the senate has to approve them. you think any really nutty fucker will squeeze past Harry "The Littlest Marxist" Reid? fuck you lefties have the american bar association operating as a secret unelected unappointed unconstitutional 4th branch of government passing judgement on every candidate before they can even come up for senate confirmation.

all the lefty cries of the coming apocalypse should romney become president and appoint somebody who opposes abortion to the court is just crazy fearmoingering, and yet my commnets on the dire nature of our country's fiscal mismanaagement by BOTH sides propts you to post images of chicken little.

that is hypocrisy

because poor people are always criminals?

dont be a douche.
No, because there is a pretty good correlation between abortion rates and the plunging crime rates, hence it seems likely that the inverse would also be correlated. Watch, or read, Freakonomics.

lol, desert dude tried using "code". busted.
Almost, we have had this "code talk" discussion before. Why do all of you progressives quiver like an antenna in a windstorm and reach for your very own secret decoder rings in every discussion?

I said exactly what I meant, no double-secret thesaurus necessary.

Ok then
Why is being a "community organizer" used by you as a term of derision?
