Abortion is now illegal in the United States

OK. Don't have a lot of time right now though.

Contraception is still legal, even though left-wing female law students have to pay for it with their own money.

Abortion becomes a matter of state law, which is where it ought to be constitutionally anyway. About half the states in the union pass anti-abortion laws. Abortion clinics in A-legal states do a booming business. Some of the kookier pro-lifers murder some of the more prominent abortionists in the A-legal states. Abortion remains a divisive topic.

The supposition is that personhood is a federal law. Any contraception that prevents the fertilzed egg from attaching to the wall of the uterus is identical to murder and so certain contraception is now illegal.

We are not talking about reversal of Roe, we are talking about Personhood as described by Ryan and company, and I believe as described in the Republican party platform.

Many of the current justices have indicated that they would not strike down such a law.
Then I guess you'd have a law that goes against the grain of your ideals, just like millions of conservatives have endured for almost 40yrs!

As for me, I could really give a rats ass what other women do. If they want to kill their children, that's their prerogative but I will stand firm that my tax dollars should NOT go towards funding it.

Do you see any difference between a fertilized egg and a "baby" in the womb at say 8 months? 6 months etc. ? I'm just curious what others points of view are. I have some personal issues with abortion and haven't quite resolved what is the appropriate "belief" or intervention if any.
The other "point of view" is one where the fetus is not entitled to any rights not granted by the mother until it is capable of living outside the womb. there are legal provisions for multiple murder if a mother is killed while pregnant but that isn't the point here.

This is simply an exploration of the changes in our society were the doctrine of personhood were to be the law of the land.

We all endure what we think are inappropriate or even crazy laws Beenthere. Now, you want to play or not?

Seems that whenever I pose this game the antis run and hide, they claim that the law will take care of itself, or that the consequences of the law are not important but they never ever confront the possible results of their insisting that all babies conceived should be born. As I said, they usually put their fingers in their ears and "la la la la".

In this thread personhood is a reality.

every assault on personhood is - as the antis have so often claimed - murder - the actual, physical illegal taking of a human life.

In many cases we find that those who are so adamantly anti-abortion aren't really, they just like to say that because they know it gets in the craw of liberals and or women.

so they gonna have guards on every square inch of the mexico canad borders and constant watch on the coasts for speedboats smuggling in progesterone pills?

maybe they will stop breaking my balls over weed and start busting some ovaries over birth control pill smuggling.

this is all sophistry. leftists only like abortion because it's a broads last ditch option if she decides she doesnt want to be called mommy. using this as a wedge they convince dumb broads that if they vote for anybody who doesnt have a D by their name they will be forced to shit out kid after kid like a fucking duggar.

meanwhile leftists are quite satisfied with genital mutilation, forced indoctrination, mandatory servitude and enslavement of anyone who is below the age that will allow them to vote.

Sophistry? Doc, IT'S a GAME. The rules are very simple, the doctrine, espoused by the far right but picked up by a considerable number of our leadership, is that each fertilized egg is a person.

No border guards, the crime will have been committed in another country outside of U.S. jurisdiction, unless you want to employ our extradition treaties as well, I doubt that would go very far, especially in Mexico.

you miss my point, "the pill" would be illegal as well, as it prevents the egg ( a half person, like a cripple or a midget) from moving into position where it can receive it's dose of glorious jesus inspired man-seed to fulfill it's destiny, and create another strong christian soldier for the coming battle with the forces of evil.

your premise is based on flawed logic, and a flawed interpretation of the "personhood" bills (which themselves are retarded religious texts not laws) while you ignore the genital mutilation that has been going on in this country for generations without comment from the leftists because the left would lose the support of the bitches they won over with promises of free abortion on demand. those broads would would reject any suggestion that should they actually give birth to a child they would be prohibited from hacking off part of it's dick.

likewise the left is quite happy with the status quo in the schools, as every child who passes through their indoctrination program comes out a robot for liberal progressive ideology,, and only after many years do some shake off the conditioning.

clinton and obama are both huge supporters of "mandatory volunteerism" as a precondition for graduation from highschool, and surprise surprise, volunteering for your church doesnt count as volunteering, unless your church is sufficiently leftist (like the AME COGIC or the pentecostals)

now the plan is MANDATORY public school unless you can pay for private schools. after all its for your own good right?

As I said, there will have to be a pregnacy registry where each woman will have to register that she has missed a period - failure to do so will result in at least a fine.

Why? Because we will have to track each and every pregnancy through birth. Every single miscarriage will have to be investigated. Remember, these are hidden people now, we cannot simply judge a murder by the pesence of a body or the absence of a person because lots of "people" now cannot be seen and can easily be flushed down the toilet.

Every miscarriage will now be investigated as a muder. Most of them will be judged "accidental deaths" but we can't be sure, we can't trust the mothers any longer because many of them now have motivation to hide their misdeeds - as any murder would.

Every rape induced pregnancy will be brought to term as well as every incidence of incest - after all, these are people we are talking about - citizens of the United States from the very moment of conception.

Who will investigate? there will need to be a class of "police" who are versed in reproductive medicine, who could spot which were and were not legitimate and of course there needs to be an appeals process. It is likely that we will need to set up a parallel judicial system as we would flood the courts. It would actually be best if there were monitors attached to each and every mother.

Now, what happens to that person once it is born? Social services may no longer be adequate. There are aprox 1.2 million abortions in the U.S. Each one of them would result in a baby.

Now that isn't fair. We can predict that a portion of those who now abort will be prudent enough to take special care not to get pregnant so let us use a figure of 600,000 extra children being born each year.

Everyone in agreement? or is there some discussion over that?

Doc, this is a game, it has nothing to do with mutilation. You are going off on a tangent that has nothing to do with this supposition.

AS to the flawed interpetation of the law - The Ryan/Akin Sanctity of Hunan Life Act of 2009 which is not a religious text but a bill put forth in congress states:

(1) the Congress declares that–
(A) the right to life guaranteed by the Constitution is vested in each human being, and is the paramount and most fundamental right of a person; and
(B) the life of each human being begins with fertilization, cloning, or its functional equivalent, irrespective of sex, health, function or disability, defect, stage of biological development, or condition of dependency, at which time every human being shall have all the legal and constitutional attributes and privileges of personhood; and
(2) the Congress affirms that the Congress, each State, the District of Columbia, and all United States territories have the authority to protect the lives of all human beings residing in its respective jurisdictions.

Now if you don't want to play fine, but my interpetation is spot on.

I wouldn't be much of a punching bag cause I'm not against abortion, just don't want to be forced to pay for it.

the absolute terror in your heart when the idea that abortion might become less freely available is obvious, likewise the religious bullshit from the other side is equally malodorous. the entire abortion screaming match is just a distraction from the real issues like genital mutilation for the cosmetic appeal of women (dudes dont care about foreskins, not even gay dudes, only broads whinge about how ugly an natural dick is) mandatory servitude by actual children, not theoretical children who might or might not be born depending on which fucknut side wins their shouting match and the constant slide towards insolvency that BOTH the major political parties have been causing with their dopey insistence on continuing to fight over who gets to be captain on a sinking ship.
