looks good. the flouros are excellent for young plants. I personally go from regular t-8 flouros to t-5s and then to 400w mh for vegging. If you are having problems with temp in basement I suggest t-5s just raise them a little more from plants and use a fan. t-5s put off a lot of heat, not like hids but enough to burn your plant. Be patient they look like they are off to a good start. :blsmoke:

alright! Back on track!
Yes they are definately back on track and growing like crazy.
Thanks for stopping in and checking things out slackjack.
I think I've got the overwatering thing under control now too with these pots instead of the cups that had no drainage. Some of them are still recovering from it yet but they are perking up nicely.

Thanks dr greenthumbs, I appreciate all comments and advise.
I just went out and bought some new flouros today. The bulbs that I was using were (4) 32watt slimline and have been doing good so far but I wanted t o get something a little better without spending too much or changing the setup either as they will be going outside for flowering anyway.
The new bulbs are:
Ecolux Plant & Aquarium F40
1900 lumens 40 watts (T12)
This is what it says about these bulbs on the box:
This wide spectrum flourescent lamp is an excellent lamp for plant growth. It differs from some other growth lamps because of its relatively high emission of far-red radiation which promotes growth and flowering for many types of plants, including succulents, (e.g. cactus), coleus, geraniums and many green plants. Contains a combination of phosphors which produce light rich in reds and blues.
I know the red is better for flowering, but I think these should keep them going for a while.:peace:

My Black Rose is a mutant!
Take a look at the strange siamese-like leaf on this little thing. It's like two leaves grew together on one side instead of on opposite sides.
Her sister has some strange wavey type leaves but nothing like that.
I took all of these pics yesterday but never had time to make an update, so here they are.
WR1 (the only survivor from the first batch) has exploded in growth, both in the top leaves and new nodes.
The same for K1 (used to be tall and lanky and now has one of the only 2 larger pots) and K2 is getting to be one helluva bush!
WR4 is the other plant that has one of the bigger pots and is trying very hard to fill it, and doing a very good job of it I might add.
The Lowryders are finally starting to grow and I'm expecting explosive growth from them now as well, from what I understand.
WR3 & 5 and 2 of the Kahunas had been drooping due to an overwatering issue in the cups and are recovering nicely

Wow the creator of the Black Rose Strain himself, thanks for stopping by, I hope to make you you proud. After seeing pics of this strain of yours on the other site, I definately am looking forward to the colour. Hope it tastes as good as it looks.

Yeah when the hell is this winter going to quit dammit, it just got done snowing again and they say it is supposed to get down to 28 degrees tonight, WTF? This is almost May for crying out loud!
As for the CFL's, it sounds like you're styling now man.
I've got some CFL's that I can put in later when they are taller and lower in the cabinet and I think they will work well with the mirrors that make up the sides of my cabinet.
Did you see the new 44Watt/=150Watt CFL bulbs that are out yet? Ten bucks each at Wal-Mart, maybe next year.....

Looking good mate!! Weathers being a bit odd where you live like you say its nearly May! lol

Keep up the good work!
Yeah odd is a good word for the weather around here, frickin' got down to 26 degrees F last night.
Just checked your grow and saw an update with pics right after I read that you would be posting pics.
Glad to see they are recovering nicely.
My one White Rhino (WR1) from the first batch is about the same age as your girls.:peace:

That little mutant and her sister are destined for greatness!!!:peace:

Here's the update:
Since we were just talking about the Black Rose their pics are first.
BR1 is still looking strange but healthy, BR2 is starting to show some nice growth finally.
A couple of pics of WR1 (top view and side view) showing how happy she is with these new lights.
A side by side pic of K1(bigger pot) & K2 next to a gallon jug to illustrate size.
Next is WR3 in the big blue pot doing some serious bushing out.
Lastly a group shot of the Lowryder #2's (tomorrow will be 3 weeks from germination). They've all been growing a bit slow imo, but LR#'s 1, 4, & 5 are taking off nicely now. #2 has been through a lot (stem broke while transplanting & dropped and broke her pot 2 days later) so she has a reason for slow growth (surprised she is still alive:mrgreen:), but #3 is just a runt so far.:peace:

Hey I was wondering when you would pop in and comment again.
Thanks for stopping by and all the great help getting these babies going too.
I didn't manage to save any from the first batch, except 1 White Rhino actually.
But yeah things are definately working out and looking extremely better.:peace:
Hey I'm thinking about topping that 1 White Rhino soon, what do you think?

Hey man glad to see things are workin out for ya! I've been following your grow and hope to see you get some good results. I'll be doing my own as soon as my seeds get here... they're a couple days late as of now, but that's not unheard of with Canada post. If I don't get the mail in the next couple weeks I'll go for some outdoor strains from Dr.Chronic.

Either way, I'll be starting significantly later than you so I'll have the convenience of learning from your mistakes  - but it looks like you've got things under control and I expect you're plants will continue to do nicely... can't wait to see the BR's @ flowering!!

My current order is for "Northern Berry" (NL #5 x blueberry) but I'm also considering getting some sweet purple, texada time-warp, durban poison, hollands hope and early purple kush... but I may save a few of those till next year.

keep up the good work

Hey oGipRotRe, nice of you to stop in and post all the kind words. Thanks for following along.
You in the midwest too?
Good Luck with that "Nothern Berry", I had looked at that strain when deciding what to order. Of course there were a lot that I looked at before deciding, just too damn many choices, but the "Nothern Berry" was one that I seriously considered.
So, yeah I had to save some for another grow too, then there will still be more that I want then too:mrgreen:.
Just curious, but who did you order from?
Be sure to send me a link when you get going.

I ordered through PeakSeedsBC and I live on the west coast (BC, Canada) where there's lots of rain and it's relatively mild all around the year. Thought if I ordered locally I'd get it sooner, and couldn't resist the price!

Well I read through NatMoon's thread about fimming last night for some good instructions. And I went ahead and fimmed WR1(the oldest ) & WR3(the one in the big blue pot) and one of the other baby WR's and K3 also. I was kinda hesitant to fimm any Kahuna's as I understand they are more of the single Kola type, but I just had to try one.

Oh yeah thanks for the link oGipRotRe, I remember checking them out when shopping. I went with ones that I could use a CC for payment though.
