It's apparent though that we can't trust anyone to do the right thing when the constitution comes to mind.
Your right about that but we do have a lot of young libertarians coming to congress or already in congress..Colorado and Michigan to name a few...The young people are libertarians and we are rising.

Right now federal law (DOMA) supports traditional marriage and the SCOTUS will be deciding the states right/14th arguments. I hope that it's decided soon but it may not make it before the election...
DOMA is unenforceable. it treats the men and women who serve our country in the armed forces differently as certain states have allowed gay marriage.

i don't want to be the one to tell a soldier that they are less of a person than the next guy because they like who they like.

i'll let you be the one to tell them that and be promptly hammer punched in the gut.

Hopefully so, but we can't sit around and "hope" the Constitution is defended and things are done in accordance to it.

probably to guard against incest.

it happens, ya know. plenty of adoptions, sperm donations, etc.

how fucking creepy would that be?
Yeah that would be fucked, but I heard that problems don't occur from incest births until around the 2nd or 3rd generation?

it's still a good idea to get a blood test anyway. my wife and i will have to do so, as she is jewish by heritage and there are some known disease/birth defects from jewish bloodlines. i forget what they are.

was anslinger a liberal?

i am asking, as i don't know for sure.
Yes, a liberal democrat serving a liberal democrat president and a liberal democrat majority congress. Even when the MTA was overturned it was democrat congress that passed the CSA. Nixon signed it but they had a supermajoirty so a veto wouldn't have helped. Not that Nixon was pro-mj either.
