Still lookin good Bluez... watch her take off now, and keep spreading her out on that screen, especially in the next 2 weeks. She's a bush!! :weed:

Thanks man, the growth is quite astonishing! :) Looking forward to see how she's going to go on

You got yourself a nice looking beast now mate!
I only wish I had a better camera, those photos don't do her justice :)

The weekend begins, we're on day 6 of flowering.

She's not a heavy eater. Last time I gave her 580 ppms which was kept more or less steady, but the last couple of days she prefers drinking over eating. I guess she got that from me  When I checked today her ppms were at 629, I'm not doing anything tho since I'll change the rez tomorrow. When the lights come on at midnight I'll just put in some extra water. I have to find the chemical analysis of my water since it should be full of natural nutrients. For those that haven't read it, my water comes from a 107 metre drill, so no artificial shit there.

And here are a few pictures. Since there's no bud porn yet, I'll give you some stem :-P

One more thing I like to say. This is my second grow (the first still goes on, very very slowly) and obviously the first time I'm doing a SCROG, which a few months back I had no idea what that meant. I used some plastic string to construct the screen and up till yesterday I had some doubts since it was feeling very loose. However when I did some weaving yesterday it seemed to me that this is an advantage, as I'm able to manipulate her without having to stress her at all. It's just an observation that I want to note, we'll see how it goes when she'll start feeling the screen and adding weight.

Have a nice weekend, all comments, advice, everything is welcome. Peace :peace:

I'm really liking the DIY tent and screen combo. Looks like it's easy to mount to the tent. I'm having problems with that right now.. need more clamps!!!!

Thanks mate. It was never planed, but once I decided to do it made sense :) The only thing I'd change would be instead of putting the single metal pieces around the tent, I'd use corner ones to avoid the bending. However I didn't have any spare ones and I'm not willing to waste 20 euros on petrol just to go by some, so I just used what was available ;)

I changed the rez yesterday, the ppms were at 584 and the ph at 5.6. This morning (mind you, the lights are on during the night) the ppms were at 619 and the ph at 6.8! I added a litre and a half that she drunk during those 9 hours and brought the ppms to around 555 and the ph to 5.4.

Here's a picture of how I fill up the rez when I'm doing a complete change.

Here's how she was looking yesterday at about 0:15

To check out how much she grows in 9 hours here's a picture from about 9:15, more or less the same angle.

And here's another one of this morning, different view.

Nothing has changed really, as you can see she still drinks more than she eats, the ph is going up all the time, actual ppms are a bit over 300 (when I checked the water ppms yesterday they were at 249 before applying the nutes). She's going very good and that's what counts.

Anyone had any experience growing a white widow? Is that how they act normally? What should I expect in the future?

Thanks for watching :)

PS. The new editor is shite, at least there's an option to change to the source mode

Nothing new to report, she's keeping her ppms more or less steady and consumes about 2 litres a day. I untied the lower branches and you can see how she's started stretching.

Looking great bluez! One question I have for you is when do you plan on trimming the leaves under the screen? I've got quite a few under there as well right now and don't know if I should leave them till the screen is nearly full or start trimming them off 1 at a time or so now.

If you can get away with it I'd highly suggest just bending them under the screen compared to cutting them off. Now there's nothing wrong with trimming and I encourage you to do so, but if a leaf can be bent rather than broken I'd leave it be ;) The leaves you have higher up that are blocking potential sites down lower I usually trim as well, but do so at a slow pace and you should be good.

Yeap, my plan is to do what Mineralz says. At the moment I'm tucking the leaves under the screen trying to free as much light as possible. As the bud sites grow I'll have a careful look and decide what needs to be cut, but till then I'm trying to keep my hands away from the scissor :)
Of course once she starts stretches, everything under the canopy will go, but it's not the time yet.

blue you just made me laugh so hard. im actually going to avoid cutting away any fan leaves on mine. i am cutting away any thin branches that arent going to get light thus removing popcorn buddage but im a firm believer that fan leaves should never be removed even those not getting light. they are like big nutrient stores. should you get a deficiency your plant draws on those stores thats why they yellow etc. without them your deficiency would show immediately on new growth or worse buds!!. i know its mainly for ventilation but i have fans everywhere pushing air in every direction down there so im hoping i dont have any trouble. not saying that thats the way everyone should do it or anything just pointing it out so u know u can watch my grow if you want to see a different take on things. it may or may not work out but theres only one way to find out.

Cheers man :) Yeah about the leaves, I'm just gonna let em go on till I decide there's no other choice but cut em, tho I don't think that's gonna happen any time soon. A couple of days ago I also invested in a dehumidifier which is helping A LOT (draws about 5 litres every 24 hours), so I wont have to worry about mould issues etc. At the moment I have 2 small fans working constantly, and a big one on the standby for when she starts growing

nearly everyone who scrogs trim under there canopy so there has to be something to it but im all about experimenting lol. how much was your dehumidifier? i may need to look into one i think

Well, my screen is quite low so there won't be that many stuff to trim under the canopy, but if there are any leaves they will go before they start to rot as I don't want any contamination in my rez. The dehumidifier went for 210 euros, quite expensive I'd say, but in this fucken shithole of a country I live this is more of a rule rather than the exception. As I don't deal with banks for ideological reasons and I got no credit card I couldn't order something from abroad either. You can defo get a better deal than than. But it was a great investment, imagine having those 5 litres of water in my room's atmosphere instead! Brrrrr....
