something tells me it'd kill any rechargeable battery on the market hella fast.
Why not just make it run on butane? similar to the iolite... just have it expel the butane gas out the side and conduct the heat down to a ceramic tip. Should work fine...no butane actually going in the bowl.

er, I don't think so... this has a ceramic stick at the end that heats up red hot... soldering irons don't do that.

home depot soldering irons are meant to fuse metal to metal at temps in excess of like 700F..... this iron goes to maybe 450 or something...

its made for smoking, with the warranties, lifetime and 1 year accidental replacement, and the button, and the ceramic tip

home depot soldering irons dont turn off without unplugging, and will cause three degree burns if dropped on the skin..... the herb iron cools down fast enough so that when your done smoking, if you drop it on yourself, the burn is nearly un-noticeable on the skin

lol you don't have to buy one, what are you here to convince others it's not worth it? I assure you that isn't going to happen, people who buy these things have them for years usually. my buddy still has one he bought well over a year ago.... and you're gonna try to convince people to buy cheap unsafe soldering irons that aren't built for this kind of thing even remotely? ceramic is a much safer material than whatever you'll find on these soldering irons for 10 bucks...lmfao

prettttttttttttttty much

It's like the dude with duct tape on his bong, telling you that you could have saved the $100 you spent on glass....

I enjoy my herb iron, and will enjoy it for years to come... A quarter of weed costs around the same price, and would only last me a week...

Am I a sucker paying for flawless performance? I never buy things twice, because I buy the right thing the first time. I'm going to give my bong, and my herb iron to my kids when weed is legalized on a national level.

And what will the haters give their children in the years to come? A broken - $10 home depot soldering iron - and a cardboard box full of empty bics?
