i wish teleporters were availble
yes, don't we all?! what brought that on?! I'd teleport into space...visit the moon and all...

Cheers for link Knickers...it says:

Negative Ions and Ozone Cannot Purify Entire Home. Negative ions have a short life (typically about 30 seconds), and can cover an area of up to about 500 sq. ft. Ozone can travel farther before breaking down to oxygen, but ozone is not effective against most common and important indoor air pollutants (except for odors).

So that's ok for cupboard...? I have two usb ones !! coming for cupboard, one would do the space according to specs but have 2nd for backup or in case need more oomph. The rest of the house is kept clean and got incence n oils for yum smell.

Oh yeah, patience is virtue but it ain't one of mine. What's this waiting til the plants grow bullshit?! And as Homer asked. 'Isn't there anything faster than a microwave?'. New tent...way cool. You should get it tomorrow or the day after if tis Discount Hydro.

Well in a small space I would put a UV filter on the intake to kill nasties before they enter and a carbon scrubber on the exhaust to take care of odour. I would not put an ozone generator inside a closet as you will damage your plants, or at least the portion if the plants close to the ozone generator (I know because I've done it). If your cabinet is in a seperate room that's not frequented by family/pets then an ozone generator is not a bad idea as it will help sanitize the room including removing any odour not otherwise neutralized.

Just to further dissuade you from using ozone generators;

http://www.epa.gov/iaq/pubs/ozonegen.html

Manufacturers and vendors of ozone devices often use misleading terms to describe ozone. Terms such as "energized oxygen" or "pure air" suggest that ozone is a healthy kind of oxygen. Ozone is a toxic gas with vastly different chemical and toxicological properties from oxygen. Several federal agencies have established health standards or recommendations to limit human exposure to ozone. These exposure limits are summarized in Table 1.

Table 1. Ozone Heath Effects and Standards
Health Effects Risk Factors Health Standards*
Potential risk of experiencing:

Decreases in lung function

Aggravation of asthma

Throat irritation and cough

Chest pain and shortness of breath

Inflammation of lung tissue

Higher susceptibility to respiratory infection Factors expected to increase risk and severity of health effects are:

Increase in ozone air concentration

Greater duration of exposure for some health effects

Activities that raise the breathing rate (e.g., exercise)

Certain pre-existing lung diseases (e.g., asthma)
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires ozone output of indoor medical devices to be no more than 0.05 ppm.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires that workers not be exposed to an average concentration of more than 0.10 ppm for 8 hours.

The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) recommends an upper limit of 0.10 ppm, not to be exceeded at any time.

EPA’s National Ambient Air Quality Standard for ozone is a maximum 8 hour average outdoor concentration of 0.08 ppm (see - the Clean Air Act - www.epa.gov/air/caa/title1.html#ib)

Further, available scientific evidence shows that at concentrations that do not exceed public health standards, ozone has little potential to remove indoor air contaminants. In my experience if I couldn't smell the ozone I could smell my plants, and I you can smell ozone then there is too much to be safe..

/end anti ozone generator rant

ok Knicks, cheers, will watch out for any of that and put my ionizer towards the ceiling, away from my plants and me...I don't mind if the house smells, just don't want smelly air wafting out of my roof or spores wafting in. I've heard of people becoming ill from ozone generators and recovering as soon as they stopped using them, so yeah, they aren't nice. But how bad can a little USB ionizer be?

Most of my girls are healthy, but one is paler than the others and I'm worrying a little. Damn, wish i could put a pic up. She's always been pale but was most pale on older leaves. She's growing well and seems otherwise happy and thriving. I'm not sure what to do - nitrogen problem, maybe? Too few nutes - I've been very cautious giving them nutes, and just upped the nutes because I think I was too cautious. The others are darker than this one. this one was the first bag-Lady to pop and is the biggest. Maybe i should have started her on nutes earlier than I did? She doesn't need any more water til tomorrow, gave her a foliar feed just now, which she seemed to like 4-5 days ago. The others liked it too...

Also, they're still very small and I have them under 400w HPS, the lights are about a metre away and not too hot, just nice and warm at the level of the plants....is there too much or too little light for them, you reckon?

Planted out some peas and beans today...got serious outdoor gardening to do...lots of seeds to plant...

As for your plant, without pics, your reasoning seems sound enough. See how it goes with the stronger nutes and if there is no improvement in the next few days I'd be looking at N and going from there.

Cheers Knicks, LOL...got a strong opinion on the matter?! nah, I appreciate it, good to know...

Yippee 8E..where are you? maybe tomorrow, if not Wednesday for sure.

Yeah yadayada, I used to run my ozone generator 24/7 inside my freaking bedroom. It's very uncool that these things are sold for domestic use. The one I bought had no warnings on it at all, yet I couldn't even buy it if I lived in Canada!?

Hi Knickers I was planning on buying a 40watt ozone generator for my double garage... I am going to run it on a timer, do you have knowledge of what size I would need for a double garage?... I'm growing strains like SLH and Lemon Skunk and Blue Cheese, they really stink... This is really my only option....

Lacey, please have a good read of those links I posted. From memory you're getting a UV based filter yeah? I couldn't say for sure that it will be suffecient as mine did not use a UV light, but it was only a few watts at most and made a regular 4x4 room smell strongly of ozone so I think it will do the job.

8E it seems the acid has finally worn off and no talk of time travel or was it dimension travel.

A quick question. Now i know most of you are DWC growers and dont have to deal with this but my question is pretty simple so here goes. With under/over watering how long do you think it takes to show? The reason i ask is i last watered my seedlings on the 7th both the same amount, 450ml. One started to droop around the 11th and i thought i had over watered it as it was the smaller plant and the other bigger plant looked healthy so i didnt give it any more water. Now they have both started to droop. I have a moisture meter but they are useless. The needle barely moves unless you have just drenched your plants. I killed two of my last plants at pretty much this stage and obviously dont want to do it again. Appreciate any advice/ thoughts.
