There are some nice seed wish lists out there....

All my fantasy grows involve nothing but Indicas and Indica dominants... The quicker the better... :eyesmoke:

My roast was bloody beautiful, now I just have to wash it up, shit its ten o'clock, I had better get onto that...lol..

I'm watching Foxtel so nothing special is on... The Simpsons...you know, the usual fox crap....

Its so cold here tonight I've got the wood fire slow combusting, and its only 18 degrees in my shed with everything on, I was even able to drop both lights down about 4 links on the chain, and its still only 28.5degrees in the big tent with no airconditioner.... How awesome is that? The lights are about 3.5 feet away from the plants now which is perfect for 1000watters... I don't want to heat stress or burn them....

Lacey 3.5 Feet.. That's Massive. I put my 1000Watters @ 18 inches. Plants r fine. Twice the useable Lumens @ 18 inches Vs. 3.5 feet.

Shit ok will measure...

Ok, they are 22 inches above the plants... I have my sons Mogo Zoo ruler here with inches on the other side...lol...

So that's not too bad... I am a shocking guess at distance, lucky you mentioned that Ninj... Thanks... :-)

eek, haven't got a timer yet and though I woke up when my alarm went off...went back to sleep again. lights on were 2 1/2 hrs late bloody fuck. shall I give them 20 on from lights on or 20-2 1/2 on? I'd like to move the 4hrs off to a more decent time. My sleeping pattern is different now. Can I move the 4 hrs off without upsetting the girls? Say take a week or so to shift it back by 4hrs?

I've done 24/7, I keep my mothers under 24/7 sometimes, and all it did was give me a bigger electricity bill.... All living things on the planet need to sleep... If you can name me something on this planet that doesn't need sleep I'd like to see it...

What kind of lighting are you using Yada?

I've used 24/0 and 16/8-20/4 for veg and notice no difference. So makes sense to use less electricity and go with 16/8 or there about. I haven't used 24/0 for more than around a week though as I just wanted to see the effect. I recommend 16/8-18/6 depending on what fits your lifestyle, and when you'll be tending the plants.

Ok, might cut them to 18/6. I've noticed growth after lights out too, think they like it.

Lacey, for veg n flower got hps 400w, tis only a small built in cupboard a few inches wider than full sized door. Was planning on putting 6x5ltr pots in there, but just realised that diavolo wants a big pot...hope 15ltr will do it. 5ltr is meant to be the smallest you can get away with with devil girl, so I guess a 5ltr pot would give a tiny plant. Yield wise she ranges from 1/2-1+1/2 zips...heyhey new word for yada! That's right, yeah, zips..?

When I start with next grow using bought fem seeds rather than my bag-Lady Sativas will be setting up mother room with 130w + 115w fluoros, and am going to make rubbish bin seedling nursery with a couple of 24w fluoros in lid and white leds in the sides. But for the next few months got hps in main cupboard and little fluoros over baby devil girl. She's slow outta the seed but looking healthy. Maybe professionally done seeds are drier than bagseeds?

Has anyon e frozen their seeds for long term storage? Apparently have to slowly freeze them, guess for home bod like me that would mean emptying freezer of food and playing with thermostat to get slow freezing. Apparently they last indefinately that way, and there are seedbanks doing that with food seeds in case of human stupidy fucking the world.

Has anyone used an ionizer for mould control and slight ozone production?

Cheers guys, always appreciate advice and opinions....

I used a household variety ionizer/ozone generator. They work a charm at cleaning the air, however if the ozone becomes concentrated it can easily harm you, your family and your plants. Ozone is an interesting compound with many real and reputed benefits, just treat it like anything else that is hazardous when inhaled/concentrated eg ammonia.

I have frozen seeds for long term storage.. Don't know if it worked as they're still frozen. I didn't follow any methodology, just made sure the seeds were well dried then put them in a glass jar with the lid sealed and into the freezer. It's possible that the liquid that freezes in the seeds will form crystals and rupture the cells etc, but seeds are frozen naturally to germinate when the climate is again suitable so I feel it will work. A regular freezer does not freeze "quickly" in the technical sense, however I would have thought that the snap freezing technology as used in the food industry would be more appropriate for storing anything in it's frozen state?

Bit worried about smell for next grows, not so much this one. Bag-Lady only smells if her leaves or buds are bruised. Then she smells like hash. Other than that, wouldn't notice her. Damn I wish I knew her real name; I can see why the commercial grower behind the budzz I got her from chose to grow her. Looks like a solid unit, Billy. The ionizers produce small amount ozone but also kill off fungus n mould. Got serious mould outside on some of my veg, don't want spores settling on my girls.
