it takes 4-5 days to dry out all the way Know this because i do wait all the way untill leaves are drooping only way i could be over watering is giving them to much water at the initial watering..1st, how long does it take to dry out all the way?
2nd, most "long timers" dont have probs like that (or dont remember)
3rd, That food is too strong , after 2 or 3 strait waters you should notice a real difference.
4th, YOU NEED DOLOMITE LIME, that way you know the ph is right. (ph'ing the water/food will NOT help.)
5th, no you dont wanna flush just yet. its too risky.
6th, DO NOT throw it away just yet , its not THAT bad at all........yet.
7th, IF it is not a food or ph prob then that only leaves overwater............ i KNOW you are doing your best to let them dry , but the only real way to tell if its dry all the way down in bucket is to go ahead and let it dry all the way till u notice the plant drooping (all of it will be VERY "limp") also notice the dirt on the sides of the pot...... when it gets nice and dry the dirt will start to come away from the bucket sides. (those meters are junk too) also u could cut a 1" hole in the very bottom of bucket to SEE if its dry.
8th , i am 100% sure it is one of the 3 things i just said. So i am givin u all the answers u just have to use them.
i dont know it all by no means BUT i have had more then my fair share of problems.
good luck and i'll keep postin till u get it right!
just ran 10 gallons of water threw her. maybe 11... drained like a champ i wasnt expecting her to drain that well. i checked the ph of the run off after the last gallon landed a 6.2 on the meter. the run off water was clear from the start. or semi clear anyways. There HAS TO BE something(poison) in that bucket causeing that! That is crazy fast for dmg. Before u kill it go ahead and flush 10 gallons of "clean" water through it.......and that should help with whatever is killing it. Then as long as it drains good it will dry up in 6 or 7 days (maybe less) but the over watering is alot better then whatever is in that soil/water (still could be the strong food building up,? )
(by the way , you cant over water on "initial" watering so your fine on the way u been waterin)
GOOD LUCK MAN!!!!
I am not 100% it was a buildup BUT yes it can and will kill a plant that fast! at the rate its been dieing (and the extra water) it should be dead today....... and u aint said nothin bad yet so, maybe it will fix fast. If it looks better in 2 or 3 days(the time it should take for it to dry up a lil bit)just ran 10 gallons of water threw her. maybe 11... drained like a champ i wasnt expecting her to drain that well. i checked the ph of the run off after the last gallon landed a 6.2 on the meter. the run off water was clear from the start. or semi clear anyways.
was this a nute build up...? does it really take effect this fast? plants history is here
I KNOW there is somthing in that dirt thats "poison" ... whether it be the food , water, or just a foreign object , IT IS POISON they dont just die that quick.idk... so shitty i would say u have no idea but im sure you do. i feel so defeated....
nah the ph tested dead nuts even threw this death. the plant is gone nowbut yes on the otherhand ph should hit it that quick, on that same token your ph might be way way out.... not saying im right, just giving u the idea
