Organic for new growers, dont bother with bottles...

Was expecting some death threats or some other Imature responses. You don't like organics threads?? Is the organics section.. so sorry. 100 percent true, heavy metals can come from food, your weed, perfumes, toys, never know. Is about reduction imo. Glad some find this thread amusing but your not my target audience. Might repost this in the newbie section. Don't worry it won't affect you money flow.
Yes bottles can be cleaner in heavy metal terms. But which ones are clean? Not advanced that's for sure. Not that I care. I'll just raise the point that bottles still ain't perfect. Science still hasn't figured it all out. If it was perfect guess what it would be the same as organic maybe with a bigger yield. You would get the exact same product as using organic then they would say yes we perfected our bottle nutrients...

Thankyou for that info . I'm one first grow currently. Opted for a organic setup and chose Fox Farms Happy Frog and Ocean Forest this first round. I'm not too pleased, the soils really inconsistent in moisture levels and even though I cut the ocean forest with happy frog my plants seem slightly overloaded . But I've heard many great things about Gaia Green and there dry ammendmants. Two of my fav YouTubers Cannucks and Mr.Grow it have persuaded me to check them out as well. It's really unfortunate Fox Farms had Deviated from there once gloried quality. As Ive had personal friends and other growers speak so highly of them.

Cannabis is what generally brought me here . But I kid u not the more I learn on here the more I get the urge to research about plant biology and the symbiotic relationships the plant shares with so many other forms of life . I'm personally thinking about going to school for horticultural science just because I can't get enough . It's crazy cool to me how deep u can get when my original intention was to get high for less money . Now I'm researching and learning about things like local biome and Mycorrhizae which I would have never known or possibly given time to learn about before.

Your plants look great, but when using organics or living soil the minimum recommended gal size for a pot is 15-20gal.
It's like trying to feed an entire city with a farm that's too small when you use small containers.

I’m running DTW now and it’s watering itself for 10 days while I’m away. Building it all out is somewhat tedious and pricey, but once up and running, I just sit back, watch, and only add water and feed to the res. Couldn’t be any simpler.

And what does that have to do with a thread on organics you ask? Well I’m here to tell you all about “carpet organics” folks. Carpets have a thriving microbial herd, and the best way to keep them healthy is to skip the vacuum. You wouldn’t flush your soil, so why would you vacuum your carpet? My secret ingredient is cheeto crumbs. Flaming hot works in a pinch, but I find original works best. And coffee spills are already ph’d perfectly.

My carpet is filthy I had no idea it was a good thing lol. They can eat mold spores?! Cool. I was going to tear it out and hard floor and clorox it each grow.

But I’d bet you could grow better on your second round than Mr cannucks shit shows. No offense but YouTubers like that are a main reason real organic gardeners are getting a bad rap these days….

Ugh it kills me to see the carpet. It’s all getting ripped out soon. Now if i can stop buying seeds I might be able to use the weed budget toward some flooring. The real challenge is my wife though because if I come home with a truck full of flooring for the grow room she’s going to be mad I’m not remodeling the kitchen or something lol.

I’m only half kidding about the vacuuming…
for the sake of arguments, maybe not the right place but idk… I’m a complete organic head. But also a realist,
grown and harvested with flora nova bloom
100 % farthest from organic. Besides being in the ground. These plants also hit the ground July 4th in Michigan as 1 gallon teens. Fertigation every single water, treated kinda like coco. The plants love it and although a dedicated organic gardener, the realist side of me know I would need 100k in soil for larger pots or beds, or for 1500$ for all my nutrient and bloom booster and ph adjustments for whole season, couple bucks on irrigation and fabric that last seasons. The realist wins and says screw that, there is nothing wrong with bottle grown Cannibus….
