TRUMP CONVICTED

I think the TV trial in Georgia will have to do, especially if Trump appears on TV in a jump suit as a convicted felon in custody serving life over J6.
Trump will be wearing his usual suit and tie for all of his criminal trials. Defendants in the USA have a right to appear in street clothes and free of shackles, jail garb is too prejudicial. He will only appear in a red Fulton County jumpsuit if there is TV coverage of a pre-trial hearing after conviction and revocation of bond or receiving a custodial sentence in DC. ...and of course during sentencing after conviction in Georgia.

I'm pretty sure the whole reason a lifelong NYC real estate developer and socialite moved to a dump in Florida (It is so run down there are boxes of papers stacked up in the bathrooms) is because Florida's homestead law makes your primary residence judgement-proof.
His trouble is the business owns the place and the receiver owns the business, he lives in an active business, not his personal home, he might not have one. The homestead in Florida law applies to private property, not business corporate property.

He may appear in Georgia after he is federally convicted and sentenced, it sure looks that way.

Jack and Georgia turned her into a side show for now, Jack can wait as long as he gets Donald in a cage this spring with the DC trial. If Cannon wants to die on Donald's hill, Jack has no problem wielding the knife with the higher courts, as soon as she digs herself in enough and he will help her with that. Even a new judge and fresh start might be desirable, Jack should have the time, especially if Trump is disqualified.

personally i think Cannon is a little 2 green for this trial, think the 11th should pull her and give this case to someone else......that's not under the orange potato's thumb

When I laid out Donald's likely future, I was using the court calendar, not prophesy, his trial in DC begins on March 4th and is expected to last 6 to 8 weeks at the most, he has no defense in any of his cases. The disqualification decision by the SCOTUS is expected before the GOP primaries begin and should arrive in December of this year.

Are you sure MaL is owned by TO? Everything I've found says it was owned by Trump until he sold it to to "Mar-a-Lago, Inc." in August just before Georgia came down. Guess who owns MaL, Inc?

Don Jr is part of the tax fraud too and everybody is also personally liable as well as the company, attempts to transfer stuff like this is usually reversed by the courts anyway. Mar A Lago is still corporate owned and not his personal property. If he were smart, he would have a family trust, those can't be sued like a pension can't be garnisheed.

Attorney Andrew Weissmann, who co-hosts the MSNBC podcast Prosecuting Donald Trump, also reported on the Mar-a-Lago transfer of ownership from Trump to Don Jr.
Weissmann questioned whether the scheme was a “fraudulent transfer.”

I think first heavy blow Trump will feel is being disqualified in December, that will completely change the political landscape before 2024 even begins. Donald will attack the courts and the republican nominee, who will have "stolen" the nomination from him, fuck the courts and fuck the constitution! We can only hope he starts a write "Trump in on the ballot campaign" to prove that he is too big to jail or screw out of the nomination. Remember he believes he owns the base of the GOP and any attempt to take it from him or control of the party will be a threat. The base of morons and miscreants he has at his command are all he has left, or soon will be when NY is done cleaning him out. He will go down in court during the republican primaries and he might endorse some candidates too, before going to prison in April or May. I doubt Chutkan will let him out pending sentencing or appeal after he is found guilty, unless she wants to destroy the GOP! He should be disqualified from running long before being locked up and with any luck his TV trial in Georgia might be just before election season in 24. I can't imagine Trump not disqualified and winning the GOP primaries, the GOP would be finished with Trump as the nominee. So would the SCOTUS if they didn't disqualify him by the general election at least, if a secretary of state dug their heels in over the 14th the SCOTUS would be on very shaky ground if they demanded a vote in the house and senate for reinstatement after they disqualified Trump in their state, as per the 14th of the constitution.

BREAKING: MAGA goes full panic mode as Donald Trump suffers a huge defeat, losing the first of his attempts to throw out a historic lawsuit that seeks to block him from the 2024 presidential ballot in Colorado.

This could have HUGE implications for the election...

The lawsuit was brought by the watchdog group CREW and convincingly argues that Trump cannot be allowed on the ballot because the 14th Amendment explicitly prohibits insurrectionists from holding office.

Trump clearly engaged in insurrection on January 6th. One need only look at the footage of his speech before the attack and review his actions for the rest of the day to see that.

Colorado District Judge Sarah Wallace rejected Trump's desperate attempt to get the lawsuit dismissed on free-speech grounds. In her 22-page ruling, she said that she wasn't convinced by Trump's argument—

"The Court has no difficulty concluding that it is to the benefit of the general public that, regardless of political affiliation, only constitutionally qualified candidates are placed on the ballot," she wrote.

She went on to say that figuring out Trump’s eligibility is crucial because he wants "the highest office in the country" and "the disqualification sought is based on allegations of insurrection against the very government over which the candidate seeks to preside."

Trump and his supporters now have to hold out hope that one of his several pending challenges against the case succeed. Supporters of democracy must hope for the opposite.

A trial to determine whether or not Trump should be eligible for the ballot is set for October 30th, assuming it isn't foolishly dismissed before then. The hard deadline to resolve the issue is January 5th, because that's when the ballot processing begins for the March 5th Republican primary.

What do you think? Should Trump be one the ballot?

my opinion:
While leaving him on the ballot (to lose bigly) might satisfy short-range tactics, (should the 14th-amendment argument hold through appeals),

the bigger issue is the rule of law. Barring the off-chance that the Extreme Court rules that the insurrection clause does not apply, getting the Republicans to nominate “someone else, anyone else who was not in the thick of Jan 6” signals that process supersedes politics.

I can't imagine a political party in worse shit than the republicans, no sensible person would consider voting for them. Consider Trump's legal issues on top of social issues like abortion and others, the debacle in the house, they shouldn't have a chance in 24, but we know otherwise...

If they don't disqualify Trump, he will destroy the republican party trying to stay out of prison, he will use them like toilet paper to wipe the shit off his ass. If the SCOTUS doesn't disqualify him the vote would be divided on it and the secretaries of state who disqualified him would demand the 2/3 vote from both houses for reinstatement under the 14th. It would finish the SCOTUS and cause a constitutional crisis, and for what? Donald Trump?

We cannot ignore the voters who are not “sensible”.

It is the only benefit I can see a disqualified Trump running around loose to be, dividing the GOP and attacking the party nominee. If ya could keep him disqualified and out of prison until the election he would divide and torment the GOP until they lock him up. Divide them and conquer them at the polls and for republicans Trump can be an object of party unity, or an agent of division and destruction.

I see no necessity for any such maneuvering. Tell me one (1) candidate the GOP can muster who stands a chance of taking the general election.

No maneuvering required or will be done, events will flow from one to the other in causation of other events. Trump is likely to be disqualified in December I put it at a 90% probability, if they don't, they will be setting themselves up for a constitutional crisis. What will Trump do once he is disqualified? Will he attack the GOP RINO nominee who "stole" the nomination from him? We can predict Trump's fate using the court calander now! Justice has got a hold of him and is pulling him in like a fish on a line. I think the first blow will come in December with the SCOTUS disqualifying him and things will go from there.
