TRUMP CONVICTED

House arrest for Trump might not be an option by next year, he could be bankrupted and lose all his properties and his only income might be his presidential pension, unless congress cuts the pension for any POTUS serving federal time for trying to overthrow an election... I think Donald will see the inside of a cell and it will be hard for the secret service to argue he would be less safe inside one than outside one. If he is disqualified in December, it helps set the stage for his jailing and imprisonment.

I think Trump will haunt the GOP for a long time, even disqualified and even in prison. If the democrats win a hattrick in 24 and Trump is in federal prison, when would be a good time to introduce legislation cutting his SS protection and federal pension? Maybe just before the 26 elections, to help split the republicans and expose the fealty to Trump, a convicted felon of some? Trump will be in prison and muzzled, but his base won't be, and they will still be around in 26 and voting in primaries and general elections.

Trump to be questioned in Strzok, Page FBI employee lawsuits
Former President Trump is scheduled to face questioning under oath Tuesday tied to lawsuits from two former FBI employees whom he has railed against after they sent negative text messages about him amid an investigation of his ties to Russia in the lead up to the 2016 election.
The text messages between ex-FBI employees Peter Strzok and Lisa Page detailing their personal dislike of Trump have taken center stage to some of Trump’s most lambastic comments, particularly during campaign rallies. The texts raised concern that the agency’s investigation was biased against Trump.

The scandal, which drew congressional scrutiny and Trump’s ire, resulted in Page resigning from the agency and Strzok being fired. Strzok later sued the Justice Department for wrongful termination, while Page sued for violation of privacy.
The Justice Department attempted to block Trump from being deposed as part of the lawsuits, arguing that testimony by FBI Director Christopher Wray and former Trump chief of staff John Kelly made Trump’s questioning unnecessary.

“Only the most extraordinary of circumstances would justify allowing a plaintiff to depose a former high-level official about actions he took in the course of his official duties. This case falls far short of that standard,” DOJ attorneys argued in their appeal.
But an appeals court sided with the federal judge who declined to shield Trump from questioning.

Trump’s two-hour deposition is expected to take place in New York, where his civil fraud trial is also underway. The former president is attending the third week of that trial in-person, though it is not a requirement for him to be present.
Trump’s attendance was expected to coincide with the testimony of ex-Trump lawyer and “fixer” Michael Cohen, who is a star witness in the New York attorney general’s case. However, Cohen’s testimony was rescheduled after he indicated a “pre-existing medical condition” would impede his ability to testify this week.

“I’m not bowing out. I’m not nervous to testify. I’m not being paid off. I have a medical issue that I need to attend to. It’s as simple as that,” Cohen wrote on X, previously known as Twitter.

The New York attorney general’s office sued Trump, his business and his two adult sons — Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump — last year alleging more than a decade of fraud.

Trump’s deposition in the former FBI employees’ lawsuits is the latest example of his many legal woes beginning to collide. The former president faces a combined 91 counts across four criminal cases, plus several civil cases.

Those cases are expected to go to trial next year, while Trump continues his bid for the White House as the GOP presidential primary frontrunner.

Trump: I'm Willing to Go to Jail
Former President Donald Trump told supporters in Iowa that he's "willing to go to jail" amid the Biden administration's weaponization of the Justice Department and FBI.

Trump, currently the clear front-runner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, has been indicted in four criminal cases. He's also involved in a civil case in New York.

U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, who's overseeing the 2020 election subversion case against Trump, earlier Monday barred the former president from making statements targeting prosecutors, possible witnesses, and the judge's staff.

"They think the only way they can catch me is to stop me from speaking. They want to take away my voice," Trump told a crowd Monday in Clive, Iowa.

"But what they don't understand is that I am willing to go to jail if that's what it takes for our country to win and become a democracy again."

Trump said President Joe Biden is more focused on prosecuting political opponents than preventing wars, such as Russia vs. Ukraine and Israel vs. Hamas.

"We have war in Europe and war in the Middle East because we have the weakest and most incompetent president in American history," Trump told the crowd. "I used to be much easier on him, then I got indicted. I said, 'It's time to play hardball.' They indicted me for nothing."

During a speech earlier Monday in Adel, Iowa, Trump compared his legal issues to those of legendary Chicago gangster Al Capone.

"I got indicted more than Alphonse Capone," Trump told the crowd. "Al Capone, If you looked at him the wrong way … he blew your brains out. He was only indicted one time. I've been indicted four times. And in addition, I have these civil trials that are all coming out of the Justice Department. They've weaponized the Justice Department and the FBI."

Trump admonished the Biden administration for appeasing Iran, which many experts say has supported the Hamas terrorists' attack on Israel.

"This is something [that] would have never happened, not even a thought [if I were president]," Trump said of the Israel-Hamas war. "Israel wouldn't have been attacked, you wouldn't have lost all the people that have been lost.

"It's gross incompetence on behalf of Biden and his crime family of people."

The former president criticized Biden for unfreezing more than $6 billion in assets to Iran as part of a hostage exchange deal.

"They don't like to say it because they gave them $6 billion," Trump said. "I did 58 hostages; we never paid 10 cents because it's a horrible precedent."

Trump to Appeal 'Unconstitutional' Gag Order
Former President Donald Trump said Monday he is going to appeal a gag order in which a federal judge prohibited him from making public statements attacking witnesses and specific prosecutors or court staff members involved in his indictment on charges of trying to subvert the 2020 election results.

"WILL APPEAL THE GAG ORDER RULING," Trump posted on Truth Social. "WITCH HUNT!"

U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan, a Barack Obama appointee, ruled in a hearing Monday that Trump's status as a presidential candidate did not give him a blank check to level a "smear campaign" against those involved in the case, saying, "no other defendant would be allowed to do so, and I'm not going to allow it in this case."

During a campaign stop in Adel, Iowa, Trump addressed Chutkan's ruling.

"Today, a judge put on a gag order," Trump said. "I'll be the only politician in history that runs with a gag order where I'm not allowed to criticize people. Can you imagine this? Do you believe this? I'm not allowed to criticize people.

"We'll appeal it, but we'll see. It's so unconstitutional. The good thing is we have so much support. It's incredible."

Chutkan clarified the gag order cannot stop Trump from attacking President Joe Biden or claiming the prosecution is politically motivated, the Times reported. Trump has repeatedly targeted Chutkan, special counsel Jack Smith, and Biden through social media posts and public speeches since he was indicted in August.

Being disqualified makes Trump easier to jail for violating court orders, politics is off the table then, and that then might happen in under 70 days when the SCOTUS will probably rule. Donald should be getting lots of other bad news from NY around then too.

Jack might also be waiting for Trump to be disqualified by the SCOTUS and politics will no longer be a factor in prosecuting his ass. It's only about 70 days or so and Jack and Chutkan can change their attitude towards Trump and perhaps their treatment of him. If he is disqualified, he should freak out enough to violate his conditions of release, since Jack is keeping a list now. Perhaps the new year will see Donald jailed, he could start the new year disqualified and in jail pending trial on March 4th in DC. DC would be the perfect place to lock him up, there are lot's of suitable federal facilities around to jail him in. Donald could lose his money, see codefendents in Georgia found guilty and be disqualified in December and it could provoke an outburst!

Meanwhile NY is making Trump miserable until he is disqualified and locked up.

Donald is very concerned about this NY case his whole house of cards could come tumbling down and his secret backers exposed. Dunno what he hopes to accomplish by being there except to glower at witnesses like Cohen. He could end up bankrupt over this or forced into something that might get him into even more trouble, but no legitimate lender would touch him, and the illegitimate ones are too scared or have problems of their own right now. They say it will be settled by Christmas and before that his properties could be seized, and he could even be evicted from Mar A logo, even if he "sold" it to Don Jr, he is still personally liable as is Trump and Eric. We should find out about the size of the judgement and what will be seized before Christmas and many expect over $500 million.

I don't know how Donald keeps his business going since no banks or even accounting firms will touch him, and his bean counter has been busted. Then again, I don't know why Donald isn't already locked up in jail pretrial.

Trump told to quiet down during NY civil fraud trial
A New York judge asked former President Trump to pipe down after he grew animated while a witness testified against him in his civil fraud trial.
Judge Arthur Engoron issued the warning after Trump threw his hands up in frustration and conferred with his lawyers during real estate appraiser Doug Larson’s second day of testimony, according to The Associated Press (AP).

Kevin Wallace, a lawyer with the state attorney general’s office, requested that Engoron ask the defense to “stop commenting during the witness’s testimony,” noting that Trump’s comments were audible on the witness side of the room. Engoron then asked everyone to keep their voices down, “particularly if it’s meant to influence the testimony,” the AP reported.

The admonition came during Trump’s second bout attending his sprawling fraud trial in person. He was also in attendance for the start of the trial earlier this month, where his frustration similarly dictated the proceedings.

The former president often grumbled, scowled or threw his hands up before exiting to deliver fiery stump speeches in the courthouse hallways. When that rage manifested in attacks on court staff on Truth Social, Engoron issued a limited gag order barring Trump or other parties in the case from posting or speaking about his employees.

Trump has called the trial a “witch hunt” and lambasted both Engoron and New York Attorney General Letitia James for their roles in the case. He has denied any wrongdoing.

James sued Trump, the Trump Organization and Trump’s two adult sons — Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump — last year, claiming they engaged in decades of fraud by falsely inflating and deflating the value of their assets to receive lower taxes and better insurance coverage. James’s office is asking for $250 million in financial penalties and a ban on Trump and his children serving as officers or directors of New York companies.

Before the trial even began, Engoron found that James had proved the crux of her case, ruling that Trump and his co-defendants were liable for fraud. The decision stripped some of Trump’s business licenses and increased the likelihood he might lose control of some of his famed properties — the same ones that catapulted him to fame, television success and eventually the White House.

Trump’s legal team appealed the ruling and asked for a stay in both the decision and the trial until an appeals court could hear their case. The New York appellate division declined to stay the trial and most of the ruling, but did halt the cancellation of Trump’s business licenses.

The fraud trial, which is expected to run through December, is the first of a slew of trials Trump will encounter next year as he continues his bid for the White House as the top GOP presidential primary candidate. Trump faces a combined 91 charges across four criminal cases and is a party in more than a half-dozen civil lawsuits.

If Donald is disqualified, there will be no reason to let him run around lose if he fucks up and things could change after the ruling.

Federal Judge CHECKMATES Trump Lawyers and they DIDN’T SEE IT COMING

Judge Chutkan painted Trump’s DC ELECTION INTERFERENCE lawyer right into a corner where he had to concede that his own client needs limits placed on him and she did with a reference to England in the 1100s. Michael Popok of Legal AF reports on how Judge Chutkan and not only took John Lauro to school, but also found an elegant way to gag Trump as campaigner, while reminding everyone that he has his freedom subject to her orders.

Judge denies Trump’s attempt to delay Jan. 6 civil lawsuit
A federal judge on Wednesday denied former President Trump’s attempt to delay a lawsuit against him seeking civil damages over the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack.

After Trump was indicted on federal criminal charges stemming from the 2020 election and Jan. 6, his attorneys in August attempted to put the civil lawsuit on hold, citing substantial overlap.

U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta denied Trump’s stay motion in a brief order issued Wednesday, calling the request “unwarranted.”

“This case remains at the motion-to-dismiss stage,” Mehta wrote. “The claimed dilemma posed by simultaneously defending himself in this case and his criminal case only will arise, if at all, during the discovery phase. His request is therefore premature. Further, the balance of interests, including Plaintiff’s and the public’s in moving this matter forward, do not favor a stay.”

Sandra Garza, the longtime partner of Brian Sicknick, a U.S. Capitol Police officer who died hours after the Capitol attack, sued Trump just ahead of the second anniversary of Jan. 6.

Sicknick was pepper sprayed during the attack and passed away the following day after suffering two strokes. The medical examiner months later ruled he died from natural causes, while noting that “all that transpired played a role in his condition.” The U.S. Capitol Police said Sicknick died in the line of duty.

Trump had sought the pause days after he was charged with four criminal counts in Washington, D.C., over his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election, including allegations related to Jan. 6. It is one of four indictments Trump faces. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

Trump asked for pause for the duration of his criminal case, including any appeals, a timeline that could extend for months, if not years.

“Absent a stay, President Trump will be placed in the untenable position of fully litigating this case and risking his criminal defense, or pleading the Fifth Amendment and hampering his chance of success in this case,” Trump’s attorneys wrote in court filings.

The Hill has reached out to Trump’s legal team for comment.

In addition to Trump, Garza’s suit names as defendants two rioters who assaulted Sicknick and were charged over their participation in the riot. They did not ask for a pause.

Garza is suing all three defendants for wrongful death and other claims, demanding they each pay at least $10 million in addition to punitive damages.

Trump has separately asked the judge to dismiss him from the lawsuit, arguing he had immunity as president and that the claims concern Trump’s political speech that is protected by the First Amendment. The judge has not yet issued a ruling.

orange dumbass on a rant.......

hope he gets locked up for this......or at least sanctioned the hell out of...
This civil case is getting to Trump more than his pending criminal cases that will cage him for life. I figure he's sitting on a financial house of cards with no expert help anymore and he is kinda stupid as we have seen. It could all come tumbling down in the next few weeks as they expect the NY matter to be settled around December. Donald will probably need to come up with $600 million or more and will have cash flow problems! He doesn't have a lot of equity in many of his properties and a lot just basically use his name. He has private equity partners that the judge ordered him to reveal too and the reciever will sell off his properties and pay off everybody first including the government, Donald will get what's left, if anything.

It would be funny if Trump got his properties seized and was evicted from Mar A Logo just before Christmas and is disqualified around the same time. I mean in 6 months people are gonna be wondering why this guy is talking about politics, since he will be both disqualified and disenfranchised after criminal conviction in April or May.
