Trump can’t be barred from Arizona’s 2024 ballot, says Democratic secretary of state
Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes (D) said he does not have the ability to bar former President Donald Trump from running for president in his state Wednesday.

There have been calls to bar the former president from being able to run in 2024 related to language in the 14th amendment where it states those who “have engaged in insurrection or rebellion” against the government cannot hold office. Fontes said despite those claims, he cannot do so by way of a previous Arizona Supreme Court case.

“Now, the Arizona Supreme Court said that because there’s no statutory process in federal law to enforce Section 3 of the 14th amendment, you can’t enforce it,” Fontes said on “The Gaggle” podcast by The Arizona Republic and azcentral.com.

“That’s what the Arizona Supreme Court said, so that’s the state of the law in Arizona. Now, do I agree with that? No, that’s stupid,” Fontes continued.
Fontes said despite his dislike of what the Arizona Supreme Court has decided, he will still follow it because it is Arizona law.

“What I’m saying is I’m going to follow the law,” Fontes said. “And the law in Arizona is what the law in Arizona is. Whether I like it or not, is irrelevant.”

I figure Trump and maga are down to about 30 something percent of the general population, or will be and about 70% of the republicans. The coming trials and the evidence coming out daily now as discovery goes public will knock Trump's numbers down eventually and abortion will hurt the republicans badly. When he is convicted, he will take a further hit, what he will call on the GOP to do as he goes down will astound people! If the GOP house doesn't die on the DC courthouse steps in a hail of gunfire for him, they are RINOs! This during the house primaries too Donald will get their support and loyalty, or he will destroy them if he isn't muzzled by the court first!

It conflicts with other state law on a federal election and constitutional matter, the SCOTUS will settle it as soon as someone has standing and a venue. NM recently disqualified a magat and it stands as law in NM, Trump would be disqualified in some states and not in others, so the SCOTUS sets the standard for disqualification and there must be due process and standards, the job of the SCOTUS to establish precedent and law. They are tasked with interpreting the constitution and ruling on such unprecedented use of the 14th and the 14th is clearly written and fits Trump like a glove.

The faster Kemp gets rid of Trump and the magats the better and it is an example of the internal GOP civil war. He has to testify at Trump's trial on TV FFS, so he and others are gonna take the hit and he probably wants it as far from the election and primaries as he can get it, the earlier the better, the faster they go down the faster they are out of the way of the primaries and elections. Kemp and the others in Georgia will also have to testify federally too in the DC trials and Jack might be curious as to why she was cut off at the knees and justice was obstructed.

I think Jack and Fani are basically tag teaming Trump and his cronies, he is targeting Trump alone for now and she is going after the big picture of a criminal conspiracy, both cases are speeding along at a very fast pace! He depends on the "leverage" she is generating and the evidence and testimony she has and I'm sure they are cooperating to the extent the law will allow. Kemp has to testify federally too and dare not fuck with the case in Georgia by obstructing justice, a lot of them would be under oath after the fact. He would have to be nuts to approve this bullshit, he is not desperate, but many of them are. Besides Fani would run for political office if fired, maybe his office.

I saw that, Donald is not alone in hanging himself on camera, that's why people who are indicted don't give press interviews, spout off on TV and social media or run for political office! They can't defend themselves in public while under indictment and on trial, all their public statements can be used against them in court and none of them used for their defense, unless he is under oath!
