Don't the Russians have heavy airlift/supply capability,L can't pictue them "dying on the vine" so close to home,Putin is playing 2 cards,1 the West will tire based on time or political change,2 the blood game,Russian troops outnumber Ukraine 3/1 and don't underestimate his willingness to call for gen mobilization if ness.,estimates are that he is OK w/sustaining up to 400,000 casualties. Ukraine CAN be bled dry in a numbers game even winning the casualty battle 2/1.He is too committed to lose or even negotiate IMO and as I've said the Weat still shudders at the prospect of survival of the Russian state coming into play here,a classic kick over the chessboard scenario, let the ICBM's fly Vasily, make sure everybody gets one.I'm certainly not convinced that this would'nt be the Russian reaction if facing complete humiliation and defeat. Which seems to be the main reason we aren't equipping Ukraine w/the tools for a resounding win here.Unfortunately earlier hopes for a nw Russian gov. in the face of this disaster have faded considerably and a replacement friendlier to the West is now a pipe dream,ANY resolution to this war satisfactory to all parties is difficult to picture at best and the questions that abound as to how this ends are daunting and depressing to conjure.
,I just think this war has become static w/neither side capable of total victory, don't underestimate Putin calling for gen. mobilization, estimates are he is more than willing to sustain 3-400 thousand casualties, only 1/3 of the way there
