actually … if I had my druthers, bare (no furniture; sleep on the floor) isolation cell in a Caribbean location. Zero human or media contact. No windows; lights are always on. No clock or other temporal cues. Robots swap out the daily meal tray and night bucket. Fuck with a robot? no night bucket.
Such a place exists, it's called gitmo, though I would prefer the supermax, since Donald has a large armed domestic terrorist following.

A beige room, with beige carpet. A bed, a wastebasket, a desk, a chair, a lamp; pencils, paper, a pencil sharpener. A bare lightbulb overhead.

No windows, no telephone, no internet, no TV, no radio, no computer, no possessions beyond toiletries. No sound from adjoining rooms, floors, or corridors. No pets, no assistants, no watchers, no ‘detail’.

24-AV surveillance, retained indefinitely. Climate-controlled. Visitors from 8–10am, alternate Fridays.

Exercise, examination, meal, hygiene, and therapy sessions are mandatory and enforced.
First Donald must meet Jack the giant killer and he will make quick work of Donald over the docs and obstruction.

I suspect Gitmo is luxe compared to what I described. They have flush toilets and contact with human guards, and they probably get cues to if it is day or night.
while i would just toss his fat orange ass in a hole deep enough to know he would never crawl out, prisoners are guaranteed certain things, even political prisoners.

i've said before, i'm guessing they'll have him on house arrest somewhere away from the public, with his SS detail acting as his jailers. they will probably be rotated out often so none of them will form any kind of relationship with him.
no phone access, no internet access, just cable...
maybe the biggest crook in the history of the country, will get a better deal than most minorities get for minor offenses.

I see we’re on similar wavelengths…but:
LET him stand/sit/lie in the dark for as long as he wants: THAT choice will become important because….

Choices to a minimum: stand, sit, or lie. Sit on bed, on floor, on chair. Lie on bed. Lie on floor. Stand on bed. Stand on desk. Stand on chair. Lights on. Lights off.

Maybe he’ll write, maybe he’ll rail, maybe he’ll lose himself in reflection, maybe he’ll just lose himself. All caught from multiple angles and stored.

Human contact reduced to lump-of-meat mode: hose him if he won’t shower, sedate him if he won’t hold still for an examination, force-feed him if he won’t eat; exercise continues until reps/laps are complete,

His entire life has been a flight from reality & responsibility: eliminate the distractions, let him soak in some real “ME time”, make him confront his actions and their consequences and his responsibility as part of therapy

No bed. No chair. No obvious door except for the hatch for the bots. No garment even. No temporal cues. Send the bots at irregular intervals.
Keep the lights on, same level always. Maybe give’m that flicker you get from bad fluorescents. Temperature a constant fifty, or ninety. Absolutely no ambient sounds. Silent invisible ventilation.

Provide fleas.

Nearest thing to total sensory isolation I can think up. Strip all contact and attention from him.

Fuck with a bot, no night bucket for some time. Floor has no drain. No hose. No need to shower. Be interesting to see his hair and nails after a coupla years.

(/sadism. However, considering that we still have that stain on the national conscience called Gitmo, disappear him into there for whatever the standard substandard treatment is. It’s not like he’ll survive his consecutive prison terms.)

Prisoners’ rights are a hypocrisy considering that at some locales they do (what a smarmy phrase) enhanced interrogation.

Now that the GOP controls the house (barely) they're proposing all kinds of stupid shit will never make it in the senate

I guess it's good to keep them busy and ineffective
They know their initiatives will go nowhere and so they are free to be outrageous.

Stupid and lazy have their uses. Its the stupids who are industrious and try to get things done that are dangerous.

Are you seriously going to take the word of some ex KGB agent, :wall:. Trump is another issue anyways but you guys always go for the "But Trump" bullshit. I live here so I see multiple different sources to get my information and can see first hand what's happening here.
Sigh.

For the thousandth time. There is no evidence that Biden has been, as you say, compromised. "Alternative facts" is another way of saying "falsehood".

You may take your "information" from wherever you like. You can believe whatever you like. You don't need evidence to believe whatever you like. But without evidence that what you believe is true, what you say is as credible as people who believe that the moon is made of cheese.

You can't force prisoners to eat, or exercise...I'm not even sure if you can force them to bathe.
You also can't record them for others to view, without their express consent...
i agree that he deserves that, and worse, but it ain't the way things work.

yeah, Joey Two Times...
I've hated every job i've ever had. Some people get lucky and get to do something they like doing, AND don't have to deal with anyone that sucks on a daily basis...every job i've ever had has had someone i can't stand, usually several people i can't stand. I do realize the common denominator in those situations is me. i've had several jobs that i kind of liked doing, but someone has made going to work a miserable chore. some of my favorite jobs have been at noisy places where you couldn't really talk, exept on break, but now i have tinitus so bad the cricket's singing makes it hard to concentrate at times.
I'm 57,was sailing right along until 3 days after the Jan 6 BS my lady suffered a massive stroke in her sleep,it ended up paralizing her and she is now bed ridden at her daughter's,I see her regularly but she doesn't even talk anymore,it's so FKN sad and she didn't deserve this fate, since the stroke was in her sleep the FKN thing had too much time and the shot they administer was not a option. She was a humble Portuguese woman who'll I'll never replace, so I'm goin thru the motions after that and 1 yr. later my 47 yo boss dies from a deviated septum (snoring) operation,FKN haunting as I stopped in prior to the op. and he said "it's going to be a great summer" when I return to work.He was a cool ,mellow cat,a 6'4 good lookin guy who had the right perspective for the job (high end private golf course). Now I'm dealin w/a 31 yo millennial boss they brought in,he's alright but he wants to put on more of a show that's called for and we are a crew of grizzled vets that really aren't down for to much added BS,I'm there for 23 yrs. man. So basically I was sailing right along there and now a wrench is thrown in the wheel, I'm a pretty tough guy and am adjusting but I really didn't need this, then combine all this w/the FKD up state of society and the world in general and here we are,all I can do is clench my jaw and march on,It's not the world we live in presently to get out the violin and expect sympathy.

So kids get taught half truths and lies, because that makes desantis more comfortable...As America tumbles farther down the educational sink hole, so that fascists will have an easier time trying to take over the next time.
Why does the governor of a state have ANY say in what a school teaches? Does dickface desantis have an education degree? Last i heard he was a law clerk in the air force...Which grants him absolutely ZERO expertise in education, or anything else that isn't directly related to being a glorified messenger boy for the jag office.
"States rights" is getting ready to be a huge issue, a lot of authority needs to be removed from individual states and placed with the federal government, for several reasons. a hodgepodge of different rules from state to state is going to cause unbelievable headaches for practically everyone involved, are people who graduate from here accredited there? can someone undergoing medical treatment in one place continue it in another place?
can someone who does something legal in their home state be prosecuted if they visit a state where that same activity isn't legal?
how long until it's a crime to criticize desantis publicly? cause i'm gonna break that fucking law the second it becomes a law...as a matter of fact, i'm practicing at every chance right now.

so the republicans do know that turn about is fair play? they do realize that when democrats retake control of the house, probably in 24, that they will have no one who will keep their committees except the ones who require a vote to get rid of, and with a sufficient majority, they'll be gone too?
you don't get to be petty dickbags without there being consequences.
of course, much of this is hopefully moot, as the YEARS long investigation of the clearest crime of the century drags out in the DOj...there is some small chance that some of them could maybe, possibly get indicted, if it doesn't make garland too uncomfortable...yes, i've quit capitalizing his name...If and when he does fucking anything about jan 6th, i'll reconsider that, but at the moment, i have no respect for him.

that man is a terrorist; he qualifies for the gold star treatment
i agree with you. i wouldn't even lock him up, i would hang his fat orange ass from the same gibbet they erected to hang pence from...after shoring it up to support his enormous gut.
but as you point out to me so often, my personal satisfaction isn't as important as holding the moral and ethical highground...
