I think the Democrats have comprised, over and over, and have moved way to the right in the process. The Republicans keep shitting on rules and decorum, engage in bad faith, and move further right. I would point at something like the past 5 years of appointing Supreme Court justices as a good example.
You can't keep trying to work with people that take advantage of decency and good intentions. Trump really highlighted that characteristic, it was part of his brand, and well he has a pretty solid grasp on the Republican party.

trump is far from done...the likelihood is that he will end up in a NY prison cell for tax evasion, but until then, he can and does still cause long term damage to the country and it's people, and if you can't see that, it's solely because you don't want to.
i'm guessing you don't agree with transgender rights, from your boys/girls statement?...i don't think people who are physically males should be able to compete against biological females in athletic competitions...otherwise, i have no problem with them having every right "binary" people have...if you feel more comfortable acting or appearing as the opposite sex, how does that hurt me, you, or anyone else? are your "feels" more important than theirs?

that doesn't really work very well any more...the people willing to participate in a race war dwindle yearly...some kids buy into their parent's paranoid bullshit, and some realize their parents are just full of shit. they go to school with kids from all kinds of minorities, and get to know them on a personal level. it's a lot harder to hate someone you know, whose customs you understand, who you know has no intention of "stealing" your job, your woman, or your way of life...
there are still entirely too many people who would jump into it with both feet, but there are less of them every year, and they're starting to be held accountable, legally and financially, for the damage they try to inflict.
i'm not a big fan of folk music, but this song has been true since it was written, and will probably be true till people vanish from the universe

Boosters do work and so does regular vaccination, there is plenty of evidence for this too, just look who's in the hospital, 75% or more are unvaxxed and almost all in the ICU are unvaxxed. People usually agree to comply when things make sense and they have brain's enough to figure out what is good for them
Nobody is getting a fourth booster yet, just a third one that ups your chances of staying out of the hospital by 88%, instead of 52% for the regularly vaxxed, as compared to the unvaxxed.
Face it, if you are unvaxxed at this point in time, then you are a fucking idiot and the hospitals are full of them.

They were saying it was a hoax, then the Wu Flu, then it would be gone by spring, then herd immunity, then HCQ, next Ivermectin. They don't like masks or vaccines and they don't want others to wear masks or get vaccinated either. They call others compliant sheep, while horking down sheep dewormer and listening to bullshit artists for medical advice, while doing their own research.
It all adds up to stupid Canuck and not much more, since vaccines we have had Darwinian natural selection working on our side. If omicron ended up being really virulent, we might have had Charles working at peak performance in America, who knows, there might be the Trumper (Tau) variant that kills them in large numbers.
