I still love joints, sigh.Or at least switch to vaping. I was always a joint man, but I have not smoked anything in a year. I vape everything now. I absolutely prefer it now, but the best part is, my lungs do not wheeze at all any more.
I'm really amazed I don't, but glad I made the transition...a buddy was just here...i ground up a big bud for us, handed him the papers...he rolled one for himself, and I filled my vaporizer for me. Plus I was hitting my cart...No sharing, Covid!!I still love joints, sigh.

Finally, something 'scientific' ....or, at least a fact. I can hold it for 3 seconds without coughing.I read that the lungs absorb the thc in around 3 seconds. (I think, it's been a few years since I read it.) Anything past that is just oxygen deprivation.
You don't need to hold it at all and considering you have COPD you don't need any more alveolar issues. The walls of the mouth, esophagus, bronchus, bronchi and alveoli are very vascular, massive in area and will absorb readily. You get nothing but more O2 deprivation by holding for any length of time you need less hypercapnia. The interesting thing is that i would like to see the difference it makes, however with my illness I can NOT tell the difference between smoking some grown from 'bag' seed compared to all the different strains I've purchased seeds to grow and paid a lot for. I read all the different ways it's supposed to make you feel, but it's all the same to me. Except only ONE time when I bought some that was some killer weed (don't have any idea of the strain, though), and I couldn't even add the dots on dominoes to play double fives! I was SO out of it...but it was the ONLY time I've noticed a difference....and it really cost a lot. I can't seem to find any seeds that are that good..;but then again, I'm not looking to get stoned, just help some ailments....and, so far it isn't helping the pain, just the nausea. I'm still searching for different strains, and inflammation is supposed to be the best for 'pain', but I still don't notice any difference. I'll keep trying different strains. Who knows, maybe one day I'll find one that helps the pain. i hear of people smoking for pain all the time....gotta be something out there to help.
