SSHZ does Irie Seeds "Orange Gasm" under 2 Gavita LED's- PART 2

With HPS, I used to buy metal devices that hooked to the bottom of the fixture to dispurse the light and heat better. Not sure they even make them anymore, it was a long time ago. They worked though........ I'll try to find some info on them.
Hot spot diffuser. Still current and work great on Hid lighting

Yup, you found them.........mine ended up in the trash when I switch to LED’s. I would rate them semi-productive, they kind of work. Not 100% mind you, but still are better than nothing. Mainly, they dispurse the heat and light coming from directly under the bulb.

You can't reach that far back on your knees. I bend, go in low with the watering can, and push the branches out of the way as I work my way back. The first two rows are no problem, the back row on each side. are a challenge. I'm an expert at it now, and I know exactly where to enter to get to each plant. LOL

Nope, been there and done that. Definitely not worth the aggravation. I have this watering thing down to a science. It takes me 20 minutes to water the room, 24 plants, and that’s with going in and out to fill up my watering bucket. I also like that fact that I’m in deep with the plants every day, plucking leaves and looking around while watering. I catch issues much sooner that the rest of you, because I’m in deep with everything. Gives me some exercise too, bending and stretching........K.I.S.S., remember?

That's what real farming is all about. Good for you.
How big is your watering bucket?
Are you watering for minimal runoff?

My large holding container holds 22 gallons, my watering bucket is a bit less than 1/2 gallon. I basically use up the entire holding container with each watering. I DO NOT WATER TO RUN OFF. Use a good organic fertilizer, run off does not matter. Actually, can't remember EVER watering so it runs thru the pots, except maybe flushing in the end. I put in just enough, and not more. I want to control the humidity, and by having H2O sitting on the floor all day/night, that would be nearly impossible.

As usual Dr., you are asking great questions and questions I don't get asked normally.

Yeah, humidity. That's why I was wondering about it. I was picturing you watering to run off and then having to wade through all the plants again to drain the trays. That would take a long time.
Probably why I do so few plants at a time.

Still, I would love to see what would happen if you just did the drain to waste thing on the first plant in the front row just for fun.
Anyway, you are an awesome grower and I could learn a shit ton from you.
Take care.

Look at this “Glueberry Muffins” beauty on the opposite side of the room in the back corner. A very heavy yielder, loads of blueberry in its genetics from both parents……there’s 5 of these in the room, which were started after some of the old Orange Gasm seeds did not sprout.

These we’re started 1 week later in veg than the Gasm, so they were not topped. Still though, short and branchy, and deeply defoliated like everything else in the room. These should out yield the Gasm I’m guessing…..
