David Mueller points out that

Earlier this year, the governor of PA was completely cool with violating his own lockdown order so he could join a BLM protest. He said that he supported the right to engage in civic protest.
By that standard, it seems to me that opening a business in violation of the governor’s orders is an act of civic protest that should be supported by politicians like the governor of PA.

Good morning Robert! I'm glad you work hard, good for the soul. Say, I wonder how you watered your seedlings? Is there perhaps some collective that brings clean potable water directly to your door? Or maybe you're a real pioneer and have your own well...hmmm, that's nice too, bet you appreciate that groundwater being useable and not contaminated by a lazy farmers pesticide plume or perhaps fracking waste. Bet you're also glad your chicken feed is reliably free from pests and disease, wonder who assured its quality. Lastly, I'd gladly pay for a nice potato, and when you bring them to market I bet you'll enjoy a relatively simple and smooth transport from the farm.

Hope you have a great day! I'm off to work too. Today I'll be toiling with an electrician, sure am glad he's licensed to perform the work safely and I don't even mind the county inspecting his work. May cost a few dollars but I like to sleep well and the thought of saving a few bucks (with a supposed unregulated free market) and hiring a craigslist hack would interfere with my slumber.

Hundreds of thousands (millions?) of people in the USA put a highly explosive fluid into their gas tanks everyday without a license.!!! (except in New Jersey and maybe some other extremely stupid nanny states)

Licensure is an intentional way to reduce the available supply of service providers and is a form of forcible protectionism. If you can put gas in your car safely, you could easily learn how to do residential wiring. Either way, it should always be your choice.

Fuck the county inspector, he's a parasite. If he had a business doing inspections where his "customers" weren't captives, he would be earning an honest living, but he doesn't.

To equate licensure with assumed safety leads to a question....Why do licensed drivers die in car accidents ?

If you want to drill a well to water your gardens and provide drinking water for your family, you will be assessed a fee.
You will also be assessed fees to maintain and repair your well.

Cool...huh? You don't have the right on your own property to provide water to your family.

It's a public resource and not yours to pollute or deplete, which is what those regulations and inspectors (that you pay for with those fees) are all about.

My well is about 25 years old, still running fine and it's a much cheaper source of water than city water is. It was a good investment.

No chlorine and the fact it’s not recycled sewage means it’s much safer too.
