Ok I’m gonna go out on a limb here. Mostly for education purpose. Lol. So hopefully someone doesn’t jump down my throat. Not agreeing or disagreeing with anyone as I’m not an experienced grower. Only started growing recently. I’ve read over countless hours of growing Yada yada. So my question is aren’t autoflowers a ruderalis plant crossed with photos? Which means plant has both photo and ruderalis genes correct? So why can’t one become more dominant than other? I have seen apple trees that are 6 different apple strains produce on same plant. I’m just curious why. So please don’t chop my head off. Lol.

Yes..
Autoflowers have bred indicas and sativas with ruderalis...The intention if which was to extract a chronological triggering gene vs light triggering in photoperiod plants..
Auto's have a stabilized trigger..a recessive, homozygous"pp" which will start flower typically in 3-5 weeks...Photoperiod plants are homozygous "PP" dominant...and will flower when light hours are reduced.
The plants is either photoperiod (PP) or Autoflower (pp)..some have suggested the heterozygous "Pp"...can give you faster flowering...but it is not a Autoflower...
as it will still be influenced by light cycles..
Pp will not breed true...as per Mendel.

You did a beautiful job of explaining that. I’ll dumb it down further. I carry the dominant and recessive genes from both parents. I’ll use my example from earlier in the thread. Just because I carry the genes doesn’t mean they will be expressed. No matter how much stress I am under my eyes will not change color not will my hair or skin etc. also with a plant it isn’t going to recode it’s genetic structure to say ok I wanna be a photo now. Did that make sense?

You are a dumass, do the world a favor and go shoot yourself,, so 5 seeds come in a sealed pack from a very reputable breeder and obv one of them just wasn't an autoflower it has nothing to do with the stress Induced, and then it was also done to another of the same exact seeds from the same exact reputable breeder again and of course then that seed wasn't auto either cuz I got the same result. Because ilgm loves throwing I. Random photo seeds with every sealed autoflower order the send out.. if u cannot understand what is going on it's.notmur fault, I understand ur baby brain cannot grasp certain things beyond placing a seed in dirt and dumping water on it, I'm actually surprised I've made it that far. I do understand the chance for human error which is why the whole entire thing was do e again exactly how it was the first time with another order. Also the chance of getting a normal seed in the batch as.some if the breeders now are.less then reputable, but trust me I do not run any of these guys seeds, but even still I'm very skeptical about posting things in here u til I'm sure , and I'm this case I'm sure... Same principal.as stressing a female to seed, this can be doen as well but this is something ppl on here cannot wrap their heads around, it doesn't surprise me, cuz everyone is sooo sure that they are indeed "guru's" there absolutely cannot be any studies going on the surpass their brains capacity, cuz u alll are just sooooooooooo damn smart!!!! ... #meanwhile!!! A cutting was brought to the local University cuz I am also friends with a cultivation /yeild scientist that works there, because he comes over for fresh greens, and saw what was going on and was very Interested... Nothing in mother nature is impossible, u guys will be doing great if u can atleast wrap it tiny little peabrains around that.. (hopefully someday)

And the ones that have actually been bred out are more stabilized, however that doesn’t completely remove the chance of a photo pheno popping up. It also requires that the breeder actually put in years of work on a strain and actually makes good selections to get the desired end result. Sadly most “breeders” are not really doing that.
