I'm just putting it out there that Biden has in the past dealt with nuance and moral issues by taking a pragmatic approach. Such as busing. I'm not saying what he "should" do, just saying that he's been the type to use something like this to make a deal. I don't know what he will do. You don't either, so let's just consider what your reaction would be if he did this.
Let's say he bargained with Republicans to get their cooperation for campaign finance reform laws and strengthening the ACA in exchange for a pardon for Trump. Not making a deal would mean filibuster in the Senate and deadlock. Is that something you'd go all negative about Biden over?
