Why Are My Trichomes Still Clear?

I've lost some killer phenos by not taking cuts. It's easy as hell. You could always try to reveg her after cropping and that's easy too. Just ask and I'll spell it out for you.

Snip yourself a couple of sample hits and see how the buzz hits you.

Ok, since you put it that way! Can I reveg the stump after chopping?

You want to leave stubs of branches with the bottom parts of buds left so there are growing bits for new one-bladed leaves to sprout from. Just flip the light back to 18/6 or 20/4 is what I like to use. Feed a light dose of veg nutes to get the nitrogen up a bit and back the light up so it's less intense. If growing other plants set it to the side a bit so it gets less light but still a good amount. Keep humidity up around 60 - 70% or so which is fine for veg plants and if all goes well you should see new growth happening in 3 - 5 weeks. It'll grow fast once started as it already has a mature root system so go easy on the nutes until it gets rocking.

I have a Hindu Kush Scrog that I'm hoping revegs right now. I left almost all branches on and left a good half oz of buds on it so it grows all over if it does take but I don't think it is going to. I left the RH too low and I think it dried out to much tho the buds are still soft and pliable so got my fingers crossed. Got the RH up now and the temp to 75 so we shall see. About 2 weeks at 20/4 now. Maybe 3. lol

I have 2 small plants of it growing now from cuttings I took last July. 22 others of various strains too. I took 2 cuttings from 12 different plants and all rooted. Growing slowly under a DIY 11 bulb LED rig I made. 8 freaking months and I still haven't got them potted and producing yet. Damn. :(

Neglected again. 24 plants in 3" pots all in one tub. Need water every day and a half so I pour 3L into the tub and let them soak it up. Was late again when I took this pic. :D

Fwiw, here’s a pic of my least mature plant. I have three Kush Berry plants In the room from PeakSeedsBC. Two are getting close to the finish line. This one though is the largest plant in my room, and looks like it has the furthest to go.

What gives? Could it be that it has more sativa in its phenotype than the others? Why do you think it’s taking so long to mature, considering it’s had well over 10 weeks of 12/12 now? How much longer do you think it may have left, based on your experience?

Sorry for all the questions, still trying to keep learning. Thanks again.

I’m not at home to take pics, but I will be tonight.

If I consider flowering to have initiated when the first pistils appeared, then I’m probably not at the eight week mark yet. Maybe I should just wait it out patiently. What do you think?
With cannabis , seeded or not...the presence of adequate P and K are important with finishing. Perhaps your organic bloom boosters lacked enough punch. And general growing health can slow things down. I'm not talking deficiencies or anything...but more subtle and less noticeable things such as inconsistencies in feed strength or temps. All the little things can add up and delay growth. I had a widow go 12 weeks and still had clear trichs. I was busy and bot giving her what she needed.

Thanks, JD. What did you end up doing with that White Widow? I don't want to hold up my next grow because of one plant, it might be a tough decision once the rest of my plants are out of the room in a few weeks.

I chopped her. And actually ended up doing my first Malawi //cob fermentation cure on it. Clear trichs give a speedier high...but bringing it to full cloudy, amber trichs will give you optimal potency. Sometimes I get too impatient to wait. lol

Easily could have more sativa in it, and really it looks to early to call when it will finish. Strong sativa genetics would also explain it being the largest :).

I wouldn’t worry about how long it’s been flowering or when it will be done, and I would just try to keep it healthy until it IS DONE. It might end up being the biggest plant and the best smoke you’ve ever had. I’ve had sativa plants take 14-16 weeks, and they ended up being amazing smoke that my friends wanted more of for years.

Yeah, this plant is Purple Kush x Blueberry, so it's lineage is probably around 10% sativa. This could easily be the small amount of sativa coming through strong, or maybe nute issues. I really want to plant my summer grow in a month or so, so I could give it up to four more weeks in the room. After that, it's all going to be time lost in my summer outdoor grow. Maybe I can find a friend nearby that has plants in flower that can finish it for me.

Not with Tri alone. But with Co2 and good nutes. Along with this compost tea recipe. There's a reason Amino Acids cost so much.
Besides some good genetics and an IPM (Integrated Pest Management Plan) There's nothing else you really need. Grow some dank every plant a quarter pound+. Giving away literally all of my secrets.

Now this I can relate to bongsmilie
I can pull 4+ zips a plant with just inexpensive base nutes and a 600 watt HPS just by keeping the plants healthy. No triacontanol, Co2, or anything else.

Probably 1.5-3. They may be lagging because you have got some pretty wonky lockout and imbalances as far as this plant is concerned
Totally. I way overfed them with organic nutes at the start of flower and the whole room is taking probably about 3 weeks longer than it should have. Lesson learned, I hope to do better next time, but luckily they survived and the buds themselves look decent. This is my second grow; my first one actually went much better.

Regarding my Kush Northern Lights plants by PeakSeedsBC, I feel like something happened that I’ve heard people talk about on RIU. In some posts, I’ve read that a plant is really done, you’ll just know, as if it’s a gut feeling.

I may be totally talking out of my rear end here, completely misguided, but that’s how I felt about my KNL tonight.

What do you think of this one? Chop time? Thanks.
